Close by, Boys play football near the river. The play area stands between Old Aberdeen Wharf and the Morocco & Eagle Sufferance Wharf on Wapping High Street E1 from where St. Mary’s church in Rotherhithe can be seen across the River Thames.

Running late for his paper round, Danny keeps up his pace. Both Ray and Ron Glenister independently pinpoint Wapping Wall with Danny about to turn left into Monza Street. (RL)

A corner is turned. Dave finds the corner into Monza Street, looking north with the cranes of Shadwell Basin as the backdrop. (RL)

Further on, Danny approaches a corner shop. Dave W identifies the corner shop at 55 The Highway, London E1 on the corner with Ship Alley. The shop also appeared in 'Fires Were Started'. (RL)

A much wider road has swept all evidence of the earlier scene away. (PW)

Slinging the bag over his shoulder, Danny begins his deliveries. Found by Dave W this is Ship Alley E1, seen from The Highway with Wellclose Square in the right distance. (RL)

On a quayside, Danny reads one of the newspapers as he continues his round. Both Ron and Ray find this to be Gammans Quay, Charrington's Wharf that by 1978 had become part of Free Trade Wharf having expanded westwards.

After stopping off at Mr. Johnson's pawn shop and asking him to put aside a pocket watch, Danny finishes his round and heads for his Grandfather scrap yard. The public gardens surrounding St. George’s church off Cannon Street Road in E1 with the shell of the bombed church in the background.

It became apparent during my visit that the layout of the footpaths had been altered. (PW)

Victor walks through the docks after leaving the Caribbean Centre following a confrontation with Joe Martell. Prompted by Ron's suggestion, there is consensus between Ray and myself that this is St. Olave's Wharf, London SE1. (RL)

The story moves on to the day after Joe was shot and fell into the river. Seen from the vicinity of Pickled Herring Stairs in SE1, the view is towards EC3 with the Monument in the right distance.

Danny goes mudlarking at the mooring where Victor and Joe were fighting the previous night. Out of sight from this angle, to the centre Pickled Herring Stairs lead up from the river.

Nearby, a Sergeant (Wally Thomas) and a Constable (Ivor Salter) cover Joe's body. The jetty on the foreshore in front of Olaves Wharf to the east of Pickled Herring Stairs with Tower Bridge beyond.

Finding a package and placing it inside his jacket, Danny climbs back up to the quayside. The foreshore jetty adjacent to Pickled Herring Stairs.

Danny looks across at the Officers before making his way towards them. In the background stands a warehouse next to Pickled Herring Stairs out of view to the right.

Answering Danny's enquiry, the Constable tells him that they've yet to find out what happened. The jetty in front of Olaves Wharf with Tower Bridge in the background.

While Inspector Matheson questions members of the Caribbean Centre, Danny examines the package. Ray finds this to be looking east from Ratcliff Street toward the apartment blocks of Dellow Street, Shadwell. (RL)

When two Bullies try to take the package from him thinking that it's a carton of cigarettes, Danny makes his escape and runs across waste ground towards a ruined warehouse. And this, Ray and Ron advise, is debris on the corner of Butcher Row and The Highway, Shadwell looking towards the ruin of 384 The Highway. (RL)

After being helped to safety by Victor, Danny leaves the ruins to get food for the fugitive. Facing St. George’s church with Ratcliff Street and the gateway to the public gardens in the foreground.

Danny reaches his Grandfathers yard where he hides the package in a shed.

After Inspector Matheson pays a visit to his Grandfather, Danny enters the house for his lunch.

Holding a packet containing sausages taken from his plate, Danny has second thoughts about giving them to Victor at the ruins. Danny hovers outside the rear of a ruined premises that fronts Butchers Row, London E1. Seen again in the film in the sequence that follows Capture 36 but not captured. (RL)

Getting off his cart, the scrap man looks along the path to the river. Wapping New Stairs, on the east side of the playground seen earlier, what is now known as Waterside Gardens.

Grandfather Willard finds his grandson sitting on the steps that descend to the water and asks him if anything is wrong. Wapping New Stairs in E1.

After Danny explains what he's doing, his Grandfather takes him to Victor. Ron and Ray find them walking towards the rear of a ruined premises that fronts Butchers Row with the remains of Batgers Confectionery works and its chimney to their left. (RL)

Inspector Matheson (Jack Stewart) arrives close to the place where Victor is hiding out. Dave W finds the action taking place in The Highway, E1, here looking east towards the junction with Butchers Row to the left and Narrow Street off to the right, followed by the appearance of Burrell House on the left hand side and Shipwright House opposite. Grandfather, Victor and Danny leave the ruined warehouse. Having left the ruin seen in Capture 36, we see, thanks to Ray and Ron, the party returning to the horse and cart that is waiting for them. The Inspector walks through the waste ground. Ron has identified the view as looking towards the southern face of the property on the corner of Butchers Row and Cable Street, center, and the opposite corner property with a new roof (with roof lights), right. (RL)

Victor is hidden under sacks on the back of Grandfather Willard's cart. Both Ray and Ron naturally see this as the party, together with horse and cart, in front of the remains of the Batgers Confectionery works chimney and associated building. (RL)

Grandfather drives the cart onto the road outside the ruins. Another example of 'great minds thinking alike' with Ron and Ray find the party about to exit onto The Highway opposite No 382. (RL)

A train arrives at Waterloo station bringing Violet to London after her long journey from Trinidad.

After an attempt at blackmail by Gow who found his gun at the scene of Joe's murder, Mr. Johnson takes Danny prisoner and drives him to the docks. To conclude the action and the 'brothers Glenister' associated research we see once again Gammans Quay, Charrington's Wharf that by 1978 had become part of Free Trade Wharf having expanded westwards.
