Infamous Conduct (The Scales of Justice)

A case of infamous conduct, tried, not by a court administering the laws of the land, but a court administering the laws of a profession. Looking north towards the junction of Harley Street and Weymouth Street in W1.

Traditions and high standards of conduct that ensure the Doctor enjoys great public respect and esteem. In return, the Doctor is expected to be rather more than human . . . Getting out of the Jaguar driven by Betty (Eileen Harvey), Margaret Searle (Nancy Nevinson) approaches her husband to hear Mrs. Bennett explain that he had assaulted her. Mansfield Street W1, where the pillar box still stands at the corner of New Cavendish Street.

Some changes can be seen from the outside seating area of The Ark. The engine shed (top right of the capture) was demolished in 2014. The flood defences were constructed in 2017. SD

Anthony takes Janet back to his cottage. Wild Goose Cottage,113 East End Lane in Ditchling, Sussex, at the junction with Barnfield Gardens. Viewed from inside the garden. Finding that they had interests in common, the relationship between Anthony and Janet blossoms. Victoria Gardens in Brighton, Sussex with the Royal Pavilion as the backdrop.

The gardens have since been re-modelled and the view of the Royal Pavilion is now slightly obscured by some additional trees and bushes. SD

Work began in 1981 to restore the Royal Pavilion Gardens to their original Regency design. SD

The pair enjoy simple pleasures and companionship. The amusements on West Pier at Brighton West Beach with the Metropole Hotel on King's Road in the left background.

The Dodgems were located near to the West Pier entrance. By 2003 the majority of the pier had been destroyed. The remaining area at the shore end was demolished in 2014 to make way for the i360 and two reconstructed toll booths. One of these became the i360 ticket office, the other is the West Beach Cafe & Bar. This is viewed from the cafe terrace. SD

This is viewed from the breakwater. The French owned West Beach was closed in 2008 due to safety concerns over the poor condition of the breakwater and the steps down to the beach. Also it is claimed that dredging in the shipping channel contaminates the bathing water. SD

At the yard, Riki follows Anthony up to the office where, instead of Jim, the Doctor is faced by escaped convict Dixon who is waiting with a proposition. Workshops at the rear of Merton Park Studios, Henfield Road, SW19. Old Studio Place now occupies the site. (SD)

After being forced to carry out a facial reconstruction on the fugitive bank robber, Anthony returns to the coast to find Janet missing. The Ark on West Quay in Newhaven.
