Trudging through the snow, K (Maximilian Schell) approaches an inn as the daylight fails.

Begrudgingly given shelter by the Innkeeper after the First Assistant Overseer makes checks with the Castle's Central Bureau, K wakes the next morning. Identified on IMDb, this is Bertholdstein Castle, located in the village of Pertlstein in the district of Südoststeiermark of the Austrian state of Styria.
