The three of them head out of London. Alan Bourke explains that the large building on the left is the North Thames Gas Central Stores which stood on St. Leonard's Street in Bromley-by-Bow E3 which means that the car is heading north on the A12.

They drive towards Windsor.

The new location is set with a view of Windsor Castle.

Roger, Chris and Baxter enjoy a boat ride on the river.

Back in the Capital, Roger and Baxter kick a ball in the park. Tris identifies this view to be of the Middle Pond on Hampstead Heath in NW3.

Denis Hoare is pretty sure that he has the right location having looked at other points along this side of the pond this was closest to the original. He believes that it might have been Roger, now grown up, who was sitting on the bench, probably still wondering what happened to his ball ? (RL)

Baxter heads into school on a cold, wet morning.

After finishing lessons for the day, Baxter walks down the street. The American School at 1 Waverley Place in London NW8.

This would've have benefited from a night shot to compare, if the lights are left on, the illumination from within at the top left. SJ

Baxter passes a busker as he begins to walk through an underpass. Ray Glenister has identified this as Hyde Park Corner Subway. (RL)

Ah, but which subway? I opted for this one south of Wellington Arch running under Grosvenor Place as it had its roof lights going off to the left. SJ

A busy London street is crossed. Ray suggests that this is also Warwick Avenue, Maida Vale as seen in the next capture, and it is hard to disagree. (RL)

Travelling in a taxi, Chris spots Baxter walking down the street.

This northern entrance is one of three but the lack of lawn in front would suggest at least not the middle one. SJ
