Not quite rush hour as traffic crawls at 20mph, monitored by that camera on the island moved to the right. A solitary cyclist is using the bicycle lane which has since been added. A great match of trees either side. SJ

At college in Oxford, Professor Gottlieb lectures his class "Everyone has their private, secret thoughts." A murky view looking southward on Waterloo Bridge crossing the River Thames from WC2 to SE1 with the National Theatre in the left distance.

Giving his students an experiment to conduct during the vacation, Professor Gottlieb pairs Nick with Suzy, Benny with Cathy, John with Jane, Craig with Mariah and, as the class is unbalanced, Erica is teamed with Marion. The North Cloister at Dulwich College on Dulwich Common SE21.

Suzy (Anna Bergman) and June (Maria St. Clare) contemplate changing partners as they leave class.

Eager to begin her project, June finds John (Peter Blake) reading.

Nick (Chet Townsend) helps far too many Girls into his Citroën 2CV.

Nick explains to Professor Gottlieb (George Baker) that he's dropping the Girls off on the way as he heads to the north.

Shots of lorries on a busy road establish that the journey is under way.

Whilst at Stirling Corner on the A1 managed a comparative shot of the roundabout to include the 'timbered' reception building to 'Berkeleyparks' Elstree Park site on the top right. (RL)

Waiting patiently at the side of the road, John watches as vehicle after vehicle pass him by. In the left distance stands the King's Arms public house at Stirling Corner, the junction of the Barnet Bypass, Barnet Road, Barnet Way and Barnet Lane at Barnet Gate in Hertfordshire.

From what appears to be safer and better underfoot conditions, Denis replicated the scene and found many trees offsetting the carbon emissions. (RL)

At last, a Jaguar pulls over. In the background stands the Research & Development building of the Metal Box Company. on Stirling Way

Denis found that 'Barons', the current occupiers of the site, sell metal boxes called BMW's. (RL)

Nick negotiates a roundabout.

Some miles on, the Jaguar indicates before coming to a halt. Looking south at the junction of Barnet Bypass and Rowley Lane in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire with the Thatched Barn roadhouse out of view to the right.

Denis Hoare is a little concerned with regard to the perspective but we believe that it covers the scene very adequately, we know your stadards are hifgh. The slip road coming from his right would be off Rowley Lane (see 'Permissive' Capture 24. (RL)

John is dropped off after the Driver's advances are rejected. In the right background stands the Thatched Bar, which can also seen in 'Night Comes Too Soon', 'Man at the Top', 'On the Buses', 'Four Men in a Car', 'Tomorrow at Ten', 'Hysteria' and 'Mr. Ten Per Cent' as well as the cult television series 'The Prisoner'.

As evening darkness falls, the Citroën pulls over.

When the car stops, one of the Girls gets out.

Nick's journey continues into the night. Antony Blair identifies this as looking west on the A40 Westway as it passes through W10.

As part of Nick's study, his mate Joe recalls a fantasy about a Choir Girl. Christ Church at the corner of Etherow Street and Barry Road in East Dulwich SE22.

An establishing shot of the college's clock tower signals the return to education. The clock tells the time for Dulwich College on Dulwich Common SE21.

The shot moves from the clock to the car park as Students begin to arrive. The South Cloister and South Block at Dulwich College.

Nick and the Girls make it safely back to the campus.
