Thomasina introduces herself and the house that she lives in with veterinarian Andrew MacDhui and his daughter Mary. The production was shot at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire where, according to D23, the official Disney Fan Club site, the village of Inveranoch was constructed from sets previously used for Disney's 'Horse Without a Head'.

As Thomasina goes on to explain her story, a flashback begins. Inveraray on the shore of Loch Fyne in Argyllshire with Inveraray Castle to the bottom right. Street level views of the town are seen in 'Fantômas contre Scotland Yard', 'Bullseye!' and, as back projections, 'Storm in a Teacup'.

Geordie McNab (Matthew Garber) walks through the village carrying an injured frog in a box as a Motorist (Vincent Ball) approaches in his car. The Inveranoch set at Pinewood Studios.

Lori MacGregor (Susan Hampshire) find the frog after its left outside her cottage by Geordie, Hughie and Jamie. Although not in the village, one presumes that this is also a set at Pinewood.

Hughie Stirling (Vincent Winter) holds the hand of Mary MacDhui (Karen Dotrice) as they look for Thomasina at the quayside when she doesn't come home. The village set was featured in the 'Look at Life' featurette 'The City's built for shooting' from 1960.

Following the discovery of Thomasina who had been fatally injured, Jamie McNab (Denis Gilmore) plays a lament on the bagpipes as her body is carried through the village.

Children stand around the cairn built for Thomasina before Annie begins to weep and Hughie speaks a few suitable words. Alan Bourke found Dun na Cuaiche, a watchtower above Inveraray and this appears to be a replica constructed for the film.
