After the experimental ZO9 aircraft flies over, a car brings a delegation from Fragovinia to the film's Somerton Airfield. The Vickers-Armstrong facility at Hurn in Hampshire.

Fred (Fella Edmonds) checks a sign as he, Uncle George (Peter Dyneley) and his friend John (Michael Maguire) head for Heathfield, an old airfield near Somerton.

Flight Sergeant Watkins (Vincent Ball) approaches Fred and John before aircraft expert George recognises him when he appears from the caravan pitched on No Man's Land between Heathfield and Somerton.

Returning to tell Grant that the people with the caravan won't move on, Watkins overhears him tell fellow revolutionaries Luiz and Goliath (John Stirling) that he has the pilot just where he wants him.

After Anne discovers that John and Fred are Air Cadets just like her, they and Kitty make their way to the old hangar to investigate.

Getting out of the Land Rover, the Children run over to the hanger before the Fragovinians drive past. Vickers-Armstrongs took over some of the former BOAC hangars at Hurn Airport in 1951.

With the unconscious Uncle George on board and the Cadets managing to stow away, a tractor is attached and the aircraft is towed from the hangar. The aircraft is registration number CF-TGO a Vickers 724 Viscount ordered for Trans-Canada Air Lines.

Alerted by Kitty, who escaped from the ambush on the road, the RAF send Military Policemen (Including Anthony Bate) to the hangar who arrive to find the ZO9 missing. Looking out from the Vickers-Armstrong hangar at Hurn near Bournemouth.
