Looking for her friend Fiona, Suzy approaches a hotel. Facing the corner of Coram Street and Herbrand Street in WC1 located by Ciaran Hughes.

The Art Deco McCann building is still splendid on Herbrand Street. SJ

Inside the hotel, Suzy is let into Fiona's suite by Jimi. David Winner advises that the hotel is the Bloomsbury Centre Hotel and this is looking towards the entrance on Coram Street identified by Ciaran Hughes.

Now a Holiday Inn with a different entrance. SJ

Falling in with Fiona's groupie lifestyle, Suzy shares some well needed food with Pogo (Robert D'Aubigny) after he retrieves his belongings from a station luggage locker. Kings Cross underground station on Euston Road N1.

Suzy heads into the station leaving Pogo to walk away. The sign to the top right confirms Kings Cross underground station with directions for the Northern, Piccadilly and Victoria Lines.

Substantial redevelopment has taken place at Kings Cross but Paul found this approach to the Northern, Piccadilly and Victoria Lines, with equivalent step structure, to capture as the comparative shot. (RL)

Jimi (Gilbert Wynne) carries cases from the hotel. Outside the Bloomsbury Centre Hotel on Coram Street in Bloomsbury found by Ciaran Hughes.

I think part of the frontage has succumbed to a sunken beer garden. SJ

Onnie (Onnie McIntyre) loads the cases into Forever More's van before the journey to a gig up north. Recognised by Ciaran Hughes, this is looking westward on Coram Street WC1 with, to the left, the chimney from boiler room that then supplied heating for the Brunswick Centre.

I just seem to have missed the BT Tower peeping over the Royal National Hotel on Wolburn Place, thanks to a extra storey on top. SJ

Cast aside by Jimi for being "not much good" in bed, Suzy wanders off to find Fiona's friend Lacy.

Suzy makes a call before heading to a club called The Pit to meet Lacy, a groupie who follows the band Titus Groan.

Seen as a threat, Suzy looks for somewhere to sleep after being thrown out of the Band's dressing room by Lacy. The arrivals/departure area at Victoria Coach Station on Buckingham Palace Road SW1 located by Simon Farquhar.

There have been many changes to the waiting area, which runs alongside Elizabeth Street and then a smaller area alongside Buckingham Place Road. I photographed both and settled on the former. SJ

A pan to the right finds Suzy sitting alone on a bench. Simon Farquhar recognised the arrivals/departure area of Victoria Coach Station.

Next day, the young woman glances at magazines and newspapers. Dave W sees this as 10 St Martins Place, WC2 which at the time of filming was a Nat West Bank. (RL)

ReelStreets records the changes during the passage of time and here Paul Lincoln found that the bank is now a Pizza and Pasta parlour and that there is now a much reduced demand for newspapers and magazines. (RL)

Suzy wanders the streets as Forever More provide the soundtrack with 'We Sing'. Alan Bourke identifies this view as along Charing Cross Road in WC2 with the distinctive windows on the corner of the National Portrait Gallery to the left.

Paul found a convenient break in the traffic and with no belisha beacon to obstruct his view took this comparison shot for us. (RL)

Moving on with nowhere to go, Suzy leaves the underground. The exit from Piccadilly Circus station outside the London Pavilion on Piccadilly Circus W1.

Boots was between the two awnings of The Criterion, and this replaces a shot two weeks ago with a better angle and fewer people in the way. SJ

A few steps away, Suzy finds Pogo. Looking across Piccadilly Circus towards Swan & Edgar at the corner of Piccadilly and Regent Street.

Having slept rough together that night, the next day Pogo and Suzy move on. Denis Hoare recognises this as looking out to Hampstead High Street from the service road between No 1 and 2-6 Hampstead High Street. Subject to redevlopment since filming. However, Denis does point out that the white horizontal fence can also be seen in Capture 16 of "Les Bicyclettes De Belsize". (RL)

Cut to St. Stephen's church at the corner of Rosslyn Hill and Pond Street NW3.

Denis Hoare was quick out of the starting blocks and it 'got him to the church on time' only to find that the church today is for a young children's school or creche. (RL)

The shot moves to find Suzy and Pogo crossing the road towards the church. Looking along Pond Street from outside St. Stephen's church in Hampstead.

I am sure it was nothing personal Denis, a privacy screen on the gates, necessary due to the changed use of the church we suspect. (RL)

Following his vociferous sermon from the church's pulpit, Suzy waits outside a police station for Pogo to appear. One might have to question why Geoff Dodd is so well acqainted with police stations but he tells us that this Holborn Police Station on the corner of Theobalds Road and Lambs Conduit Street, London WC1. To be fair, he did also say that he recognised it from the 'Man In A Suitcase episode ‘Variation On A Million Bucks Pt.1' (RL)

The pair go in search of somewhere to settle while they eat. The Whitfield Community Play Area on Whitfield Street W1 with the Hope public house at the corner of Tottenham Street in the right distance.

The Hope is still going. SJ

Driving south in the rain, Forever More and Fiona return to London. Denis Hoare identifies the location as Rowley Lane just after it has passed over the A1 and is heading into Borehamwood, Hertfordshire. (RL)

Denis could not wait any longer for all the leaves to drop but there is sufficient of the scene to confirm his finding. (RL}

Approaching Junction 7 of the M1 to the east of Hemel Hempstead in Hertfordshire.

Antony Blair has been out in his car again to capture the current road signs on the M1 for junctions 7 and 8 where the motorway has completely changed over the intervening 54 years.

Suzy leaves a ladies convenience . . . Despite this being the 'Ladies', Dave W recognises by virtue of the art deco style Victoria Coach Station. (RL)

I'm not particularly convinced I'm in the right place, just instead the main entrance, as the loos are, now at least, below ground level and there's no matching art deco. SJ

And this is panning right. Again there may have to be a re-visit. SJ

A new day passes after another night of sleeping outdoors. Looking towards the corner of Tottenham Street and Tottenham Court Road in W1 with Heal & Son's furniture store in the background, found with help from Scott McMillan.

The white wall of 79 Tottenham Court Road is now painted black and the railing have been dispensed with. SJ

Pogo plays guitar as the pair busk for a living. Denis Hoare assembled all the evidence to deduce that the busking is taking place in St Giles Square and that it was the Astoria, 157 Charing Cross Road, WC2 showing 'Paint Your Wagon'. Due to the extensive redevelopment in that area it is difficult to lucidly descibe the 'action' location, so Denis shared his detailed research through the offices of 'ReelStreets' with........

Paul Lincoln who 'hot footed it' to St Giles Square take this shot to compete the team work. As Denis says, despite all the changes, the line of St Giles Square exists as a pedestrian walkway in front of an entrance to Tottenham Court Road tube station, that Paul has included for completeness. Suzy runs ahead to cross the road towards a shop before she hears the screech of tyres. Identified by Simon Farquhar, this is Coram Street WC1 with Woburn Place in the the top background.

This is the south-east corner of the junction with the ground floor pillars currently belonging to a Shurgard self-storage site which took over City Storage which in turned replaced an underground car park. A little further to the west of cap2. SJ

Night falls on the day that Pogo was knocked down and killed by a car. The Rotary and Hush Puppy advertisements give this away as Coventry Street W1 with the former Trocadero complex in the darkness to the right.

Rather disappointing at the moment, but the Trocadero, also seen in Bring Me the Head of Mavis Davis, is lit up by the sun. SJ

Sitting alone in a cafeteria with Pogo's guitar next to her, Suzy smokes a cigarette.

After Suzy meets up with Fiona again, Forever More's Ford Transit carries the Band and the Girls to another gig. The Post Office Tower can be made out in the left distance and Simon James locates this as Albany Street, NW1, looking south with Regents Park Barracks on left.

Denis captured Albany St in all its splendour, with Regent's Park Barracks still operational on the left. He says that there was a Ford Transit going past but his shutter speed was too low to capture it. He's not usually that unprepared! (RL)

Fiona (Gay Singleton) leaves a supermarket with a bag of shopping. Geoff Dodd finds Fiona in Finchley Road, NW11, the supermarket subsequently 'americangolf' is now 'Screwfix'. Alberson Gardens going off to the left. (RL)

The camera follows Fiona as she hurries across the road. Following on Geoff's identification this has to be Finchley Road, looking north. (RL)

Fiona gets back into the Transit. Continuing the guided tour Geoff tells us that the building to the right is number 862 and is the premises of The New Hampstead Garden Suburb Trust Limited (We share his wonder as to what happened to the old one?) with Clarendon Court beyond. (RL)

The Transit is parked up and the Band enter the premises. The corner of New Compton Street and St. Giles Passage located by Allen Dace, a location that can also be seen in 'Last Christmas' and 'Man on the Run'.

The site is now the home of 'The Phoenix Garden', a community run green spoace as captured by Paul. (RL)

As Jimi unloads the van, Fiona tells him that she's going for a walk. Facing the corner of New Compton Street and St. Giles Passage in WC2.

Paul did his best to replicate the the screen capture but that vacant land has now been built on. (RL)

Suspecting that something is going on, Lacy (Debbie Bowen) heads for Titus Groan's tour van where she finds Suzy with her lover Rick.

While her boyfriend Lee makes love with Suzy, Fiona leaves a café and heads back to the Band's hotel.

When she can't find Lee, Fiona makes her way to a small park after wandering the streets. Whitfield Gardens with Heal & Son on Tottenham Court Road in the background.

As Forever More's tour continues, Jimi, Suzy and Lee (Alan Gorrie) leave another hotel. The Brent Bridge Hotel adjacent to Brent Bridge on Brent Street in Hendon NW4. Woodburn Close has taken the place of the since demolished building.
