Blinker’s Spy-Spotter (Children’s Film Foundation)

The day that "Blinker" Brown and his Family move to their new home, Wheat Butts, arrives a week earlier than expected. It really is Wheat Butts and this in the bend in Common Road at Eton Wick in Buckinghamshire.

From an upstairs window at Wheat Butts, two crooks South and East look towards the Research Station where Professor Brown is working on his latest invention, "Crystal X". Uxbridge Road Gas Works on Uxbridge Road in Slough, Buckinghamshire.

Back at the old house, a Removal Man (David Battley) tells Mrs. Brown (Mildred Mayne) and Blinker (David Spooner) to jump into the van when Professor Brown (Arthur Howard) has difficulty starting his Rolls Royce Tourer.

The Removal Man tells the Professor to put a match under it . . . "that'll get it going!"

Anticipating that the house would be empty for a week, South and East are surprised when they see the removal van draw up outside. Looking out of Wheat Butts onto Common Road in Eton Wick.

Professor Brown arrives as South and East climb out of a bedroom window when the family start to move in. Wheat Butts, Common Road with flats on Albert Place in the right distance.

Squeezing through a gap in the garden fence, South (Bernard Bresslaw) and East (Milton Reid) flee from the house.

The crooks get into their Chevrolet Impala before realising that they've left their notebook behind. Outside numbers 35 and 37 Common Road in Eton Wick.

South and East return to the house but find that Blinker has taken the notebook.

In the garden, Mason (Martin Beaumont) and his Gang walk towards Blinker and demand to know if he's seen a girl around. Looking onto Common Road from Wheat Butts.

Blinker shows Glenda (Sally Anne Marlowe) a machine that he's making . . . a periscope for sound. The garden of Wheat Butts in Eton Wick.
