We are aware that there are films on the site that were added when the criteria for the inclusion of locations was very different from today and, as a result, there may be scenes missing from some productions. Please do not forward additional screen captures to us but bring the detail to our attention, for we do, and are, 're-addressing' these older entries as time allows.

On the way home they called on Max who tells them about the planned skiing route that Rudi had taken and the following morning Paul and Max set off to find him. First, they go to the station. Although a Rhaetian Railway locomotive this looks as if it could be a stock shot as it appears too rural to be Davos, it appears to be only single track. Manuel Gurtner advises that the metre gauge train is hauled by Bo'Bo' type loco of the RhB series Ge 4/4 I, built in 1947 and 1953, and passes the level crossing nearby Davos-Wolfgang station at the Wolfgang pass summit. The level crossing disappeared in the following years due to the winter-proofing of the pass road. In the background the mountainside of the Gotschnagrat is visible, which is wooded in the lower part.

They look at the approaching train…. Davos Glaris Station.
- Capture 23

- Capture 28
- 'Now' required

He had seen Rudi coming along and asked for a lift into Davos. Hauptstrasse looking towards Alte Kirche.
- Capture 29
- 'Now' required

He hopped aboard. Unidentified location. Manuel Gurtner advises that this sequence can also be seen in 'The Lonely House', a Scotland Yard support feature from 1957.
- Capture 30
- 'Now' required

"He asked me to drop him"……… Could this be Obere Strasse, Davos circa Platzstrasse looking north?
- Capture 31
- 'Now' required

……….. "at the station where he was going to take a train to the top of the mountain". Parsennbahn, Promenade, Davos-Dorf looking east.
- Capture 32
- 'Now' required

Suddenly Mara appears as she had decided to go with him. Ticket office, Parsennbahn, Promenade, Davos-Dorf
- Capture 33

"But that is where the plan went wrong", she missed the train. Although the action took place at Parsennbahn, Davos-Dorf we see a Schatzalp Bahn train (DSB) pulling away from what would be Davos-Platz, Obere Strasse.

- Capture 36
- 'Now' required

Meanwhile Max was wondering what had happened to Mara, eventually, everyone was aware. She had reached the mountain station and knew his route. This looks like Weissfluhjoch but I stand to be corrected.
- Capture 37
- 'Now' required

Mara found Rudi with a broken leg, a search party was underway and Paul started his own search having found that the coffee in Rudi’s ‘lost’ rucksack was still hot. He sets off for Klosters Serneus where a boy had found Rudi’s rucksack.
- Capture 38
- 'Now' required

Eventually Paul catches up with Max and challenges him that if Rudi died, he would inherit quitea bit of money. Max admits that he had sent Rudi to ‘Grundstein’ not ‘Kaldis’. ‘Grundstein Hutte’ 2267 m.ü.M.
- Capture 39
- 'Now' required

Max further admits that he stole the rucksack and damaged one of Rudi’s ski’s with a view to him having an accident. ‘Grundstein Hutte’.
- Capture 40
- 'Now' required

There are so many events, twists and turns in the story that occur without meaningful location shots that we have to jump in time to Rudi “pulling through allright” and getting his medal. Looking down to the path to the church with Hauptstrasse left to right in the mid ground.
- Capture 41
- 'Now' required

“It is difficult to remember unpleasant things when you are young and to live in a peaceful little place like our village of Monstein.” Reformierte Kirche Davos Monstein right background.
