A taxi brings Stephanie back to the theatre where she's asked to telephone playwright Bill Lang.

Spending time together, Bill takes Stephanie out for a picnic. Ancaster House outside Richmond Gate at the junction of Star and Garter Hill, Richmond Hill and Sawyer's Hill in Richmond, Surrey.

The camera pans with the car as it enters a park where Bill tells Stephanie about his new play 'The High Terrace'. Richmond Gate on the north-western side of Richmond Park.

Stephanie Blake (Lois Maxwell) runs from the theatre into the arms of Bill Lang (Dale Robertson) after discovering theatre owner Otto Kellner with a pair of scissors in his back.

Believing that Stephanie is being framed, Bill puts Kellner's body in the back of his car as a Policeman walks his beat near the theatre.

Driving to a secluded mews, Bill dumps the corpse at the side of the road.

At the river Bill disposes of the murder weapon along with Kellner's briefcase. Looking north along the Thames towards Westminster Bridge with Albert Embankment, St. Thomas' Hospital and its water tower along with street lights on Lambeth Palace Road in SE1 to the right.

After being interviewed by Detective Inspector MacKay, Stephanie leaves the side door of the theatre where Bill is waiting.

Bill asks how the questioning went before the two drive away together.

As he searches for clues as to who Kellner's murderer is, Bill takes John Mansfield's flat a week after the Thespian gives up the tenancy. Scott McMillan recognised Gloucester Terrace at the junction of Westbourne Crescent in W2.

Looking for the missing actor, Bill calls at a theatrical lodging house run by Mr. Bachelor on the story's Spencer Road in Brixton.

Walking away after Mr. Bachelor tells him that he doesn't know Mansfield, Bill spots Molly Kellner along the street.

Bill dives into a doorway and waits for impresario's wife to pass before stepping out from his hiding place.

Detective Inspector MacKay (Jameson Clark) and his Sergeant stop Bill from following Mrs. Kellner and take up the pursuit themselves.

Newspapers carry headlines about Keller's widow and an actor being detained by the police.
