A movie executive is framed for the murder of his beautiful promiscuous leading lady by her jealous, estranged husband.

It would appear that the cast never left the Walton Studios and a second unit filmed the required scenes in the south of France. A second Jaguar XK120 was used for the French scenes sporting a fog lamp and false number plates.

Carliss (George Sanders) of 'Scotland Yard' calls on Max’s home, unofficially, just after he gets home to say that Gina has been murdered. At the first opportunity, Max leaves home with a bag, travelling presumably to the ‘lonely little chalet to collect his clothes. Is this Prom. Saint-Sébastien, Sainte Agnès?
