Piloted by Mr. Brewster, a Hoverlloyd Swift hovercraft comes into land after the journey from Calais. The International Hoverport on Sandwich Road at Pegwell Bay, Ramsgate in Kent.

On a home help visit to Heron's Island, Dick and Jenny step back as inventor Mr. Watts (Arthur Howard) rushes through his back door with a hot smoking pan.

Deciding to have a go at winning the upcoming hovercraft race, Dick and Jenny look for parts to fit the engine that they're working on in the shed at home.

Rather than building their own hovercraft. Mr. Gutteridge employs Ben at the garage to do it for them. The Bridge Garage on Bridge Road in Chertsey, Surrey

Finishing their project, Dick and Jenny call their Parents over to explain how the hovercraft works.

Mr. Gutteridge reminds his son that if anyone asks, it was he who built the hovercraft.

Next day, the Gutteridge's hovercraft is tried out. Dumsey Meadow on the Thames opposite Chertsey.

Dick and Jenny watch as Charlie puts the hovercraft through its paces. Across the Thames stand factory buildings on Bridge Wharf, Chertsey.

Charlie turns in the river and returns to the bank. On the far bank of the Thames stands Waters Edge next to the inlet giving access to Bates Wharf and Marina.

Mr. Gutteridge laughs as he shows Charlie and Sydney an article in the newspaper about the Brewster's "Hoverbug" blowing up. The pavement outside since demolished shops on Russell Road, Shepperton with the Crown public house to the extreme left.

To prevent the Brewsters making repairs, Charlie and Sydney go to Mr. Watts's home to steal his welding gear.

Dick and Jenny row Mr. Watts towards Heron's Island to collect his equipment. Looking across the Thames towards Old Shepperton with the tower of St. Nicholas' church in the centre distance.

Orange smoke billows from Mr. Watts's house when Sydney meddles with an experiment.

After throwing the welding gear in the river, Charlie and Sydney return home. Shepperton Slipway, Ferry Square in Old Shepperton.

Whilst Dick and Mr. Watts's use a very strong glue to fix Hoverbug, Jenny accidentally switches on the engine and is carried away.

Nearby, Mr. Gutteridge, Charlie and Sydney sit in their garden full of gnomes and ornaments. This appears to be the since built over grounds to the north of Manor House in Shepperton with St. Nicholas' church visible top left, beyond the wall.

At the front of the house, the Postman (Cardew Robinson) parks his bicycle before delivering letters. The Grade II* listed St. Nicholas' Rectory, now Erasmus House, in Old Shepperton.

A church warden kindly took John Harwood into the courtyard where it's clear why a shot from the right angle wasn't possible.

Hit by a windmill garden ornament, the Postman flies from the house. Facing the gateway onto Church Square, Shepperton from the grounds of St. Nicholas' Rectory.

Continuing to follow Hoverbug, Charlie disappears from view when he falls down an open manhole. Outside the Anchor Hotel on Church Square, Shepperton with buildings on Chertsey Road to the left. The location also features in 'The Man Who Loved Redheads', 'Mysterious Island', 'The Set Up', 'The 3 Worlds of Gulliver', 'Bond of Fear' and 'Emergency Call'.

Mr. Gutteridge, Sydney, Dick and Mr. Watts keep up with Jenny. Looking north on High Street, Shepperton with the Crossroads Inn at the corner of Laleham Road and Charlton Road to the left. The pub closed in 2011 and was demolished soon afterwards 2012.
