That evening, after the Headmaster advises Bradley that Jessie hasn't seen seen since he left her at a footpath in the woods, the housemaster drives fellow teacher Janet Shenley home from dinner. The west side of the pond on Stocks Road in Aldbury, Hertfordshire.

Antony Blair found the beauty of the village somewhat spoilt by parked cars.

Parting company with Janet after a kiss, Bradley pulls up outside his house where two Police Officers ask him to accompany them to see Inspector Clark at the station.
