Rain pours as a Ford Consul turns into the car park of the firm where engineer Paul Adams is working. Facing southward on Clarendon Road in Watford, Hertfordshire.

Fenton (John Gabriel) and Jug (Richard Shaw) enter the building to put a proposition to Paul. Number 46 Clarendon Road in Watford, which also appears in 'Sentenced for Life', 'The Great Van Robbery' and 'Innocent Meeting'.

The three men enter the bookshop that Fenton has bought as part of his plan to rob a nearby jewellers. The painted sign in the background mentions Dare Inglis Products and Du-Al House, which was in Harrow, Middlesex. Richard Lovejoy found that this is Byron Terrace where Dare Inglis Products and Du-Al House were at the rear of number 5 while Byron Court stands in the top left background. Greenhill Way now cuts through the buildings to the right.

Having recruited the reluctant Paul, Fenton makes his way to the target jewellers. Facing north on Hatton Garden in EC1 with buildings at the junction with Hatton Wall in the distance.

Fenton checks out the basement of the jewellers. Hatton Garden, at the corner of St. Cross Street. which is also seen in 'The Secret Place' and 'The Diamond'.
