Leaving the Strip Club where she's taken a job for a bit of cash, Paula Brown (Maureen Connell) makes her way to photographer Mike Roscoe's office after a proposition to earn £10 a day plus a £1,000 bonus. With this part of Churton Street at the north-east end now pedestrianised and building above the street, this is the best one can do with Barclays Bank, now Taro Japanese sushi bar, on the right, and the bank, seen on the left on the corner of Rochester Row and Vauxhall Bridge Road long estalbished as a branch of Foxton's. SJ

Crossing the road, Paula enters the building where Mike outlines a plan for her to impersonate his estranged sister Barbara in order to obtain the £250,000 proceeds from a robbery carried out by his Father.

I believe this to be 8 - 12 Churton Street, SW1 but need to confirm with a Kelly's of the as the headings are all illegible. (RL) ... Turning to the west from the previous view, this is what has replaced the row intruding into the former street somewhat. SJ

Owing money to Caledonia Hosman, Mike looks out of his office window where he sees Ted, one of the gangster's men, across the street. 7 Churton Street, SW1 on the corner with Lillington Street now absorbed into Longmoore Gardens Playground and Estate. Again, also seen in 'Innocent Sinners'. (RL)

Because of the trees, even lower a shot of ths site of no 7 on the corner. Pedestrianisation has, to all extents, eliminated the kink in the former Lillington Street. SJ

Ted (Brian Peck) draws on his cigarette as a Pontiac Star Chief pulls up beside him. Dave W picks up the evidence of the moment and finds this to be 3, 5 and 5a Lillington Street. (RL)

Those numbers were on the southern half of the current playground, with its floor painted a bright blue. SJ

Getting out of the car, Ben (Tom Bell) arrives to take over the observation. And Dave W's 'observation' places the background as the corner of Churton Street, looking towards Vauxhall Bridge Road, SW1 with Lillington Street on the right, revealing No1. (RL)

Having briefed her about Barbara and the relationship with his Father, Mike travels with Paula on the morning train from Waterloo. Seer Green & Jordans railway station on Farm Lane, Seer Green in Buckinghamshire.

Climbing the stairs of the station footbridge, Mike Roscoe (Ronald Hines) spots Ted and Ben as they get off the train. Seer Green & Jordans station also appears in 'Twice Around the Daffodils', 'The Man in the Road', 'Mad About Men' and ‘The Belles of St. Trinian’s’.

The cabs disappear leaving the pair of Crooks stranded. The approach road on the southern side of Seer Green & Jordans station.

The two taxis pull into a service station. Stone's Garage, as revealed in Capture 14, stood on Cryers Hill Lane, High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire, here looking at the side of number 4. (RL)

Mike and Paula arrive at the cottage where Sam Roscoe and his Wife are hiding out.

Seeing them working in the garden, Mike calls to his Parents before introducing Paula as their daughter Barbara.

With Mrs. Roscoe in on the deception, Sam begins to doubt that Paula is his daughter.

Sam Roscoe (Mervyn Johns) takes Paula to a cliff above the shore where he angrily suggests that she has only returned for a cut of his money.

After Paula is taken hostage when Caledonia, Ben and Ted turn up at the cottage, she's taken to London where the only view from her prison is a construction site. The Laing building site is at the northern end of Chapter Street, where Hide Tower now stands.

Mike drives to a call box on the London Road as Sam makes his way to a rendezvous at the Crown after receiving instructions from Caledonia.

Driven by the Garage Proprietor, Sam arrives at the Crown. Anthony McKay found The Crown public house on Church Road at Penn in Buckinghamshire.

Antony Blair paid a visit to The Crown.

Sam gets out of the Vauxhall Cresta before Caledonia's Aide (Eddie Leslie) signals him to go inside the pub. The Crown on Church Road, Penn to the east of High Wycombe located by Anthony McKay.

An extension to the premises is highlighted in Antony Blair's comparison.

After Sam pulls a gun on him at the Crown, Caledonia is driven away by his Aide before returning to the pub after picking Mike up. The roundabout at the junction of London End, Windsor End, Wycombe End and Aylesbury End in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire. The junction and the roads around are also seen in ‘Please Turn Over’, 'Snowball', 'Devil's Bait', ‘Prudence and the Pill’, ‘The Walking Stick’ and ‘Doctor in Love’.

65 years later Antony Blair found the roundabout with maturing trees.

Sam passes the in the opposite direction after opening the box handed to him by Caledonia which contains a lock of Paula's hair along with a secret note from her. Facing the corner of London End and Windsor end in Beaconsfield Old Town with the Royal Saracen's Head public house in the background.

Antony Blair found that a sign still swings at the roadside but the telegraph pole now leans the other way.

The Pontiac comes to a halt in the pub car park. Found by Anthony McKay, the Crown at Penn can also be seen in ‘The End of the Line’, 'Fast and Loose', 'John and Julie' and 'Haunted Honeymoon'.

Discovering from the Barman that Sam had departed in the direction they had come from, Caledonia orders his Aide to follow. To the left stands Church Cottage on Church Road in Penn, Buckinghamshire, discovered by Anthony McKay.

Sam drives to where Paula is being kept prisoner. Looking south-westward along Chapter Street from the junction with Regency Street in SW1.

Everything to the right has gone in favour of Hide Tower and its grounds but, on the mid-left, the housing on the corner of Esterbrooke Street survives. SJ

Noticing the boarded up window opposite the building site, Sam runs across the road. The northern end of Chapter Street with properties on Hide Place crossing the background.

All terraces disappeared when Hide Tower, built for the elderly, on the right was built in about 1962 to become at that time the tallest residential block in London. The view from the top is impressive. SJ

Once inside, Sam makes his way to the top floor. Facing the since demolished numbers 77 to 81 Regency Street that have been replaced by Brunswick Court.

Brunswick Court is rather faceless. SJ
