The motion picture opens with Sir Horace Cutler (Leslie Phillips) telling disinterested Onlookers that "You've never had it so good" as he canvasses for votes to be re-elected as leader of the GLC. Looking from Kennington Park SE11 towards Cruden House on the Brandon Estate in SE17.

While Ken Livingstone carries a bag of apples up to his flat, Billy (Adrian Edmondson) grabs the microphone from Sir Horace and calls for someone to take on the "fat cats" of the Conservative party. In the background stands one of the blocks of flats on the Brandon Estate in Walworth, part of the the group that can also be seen in 'Rude Boy'.

A car covered in posters drives through the streets. Steve Randall discovered the Mary Datchelor School extension in Grove Lane SE5. The school closed in 1981 and was converted into a complex of apartments, called Mary Datchelor House in 2009.

Looking south-east on Grove Lane. Previously known as the Crooked Well, the Kerfield Arms, recently opened on the corner of Kerfield Crescent, is just peeping in on the right hand of both views and joins the Harwood Arms (West Brompton) as only one of two London pubs with a Michelin star. SJ

The morning after Cher calls on Ken to tell him that he's the new leader of the GLC, the Ice Maiden monitors the results as they are announced in Parliament. The Houses of Parliament on Parliament Square SW1.

Ken enters County Hall where he finds the corrupt Lord Mayor of London (Rik Mayall) and dismisses him. Looking from County Hall, across the River Thames to Victoria Embankment and New Scotland Yard in SW1.

As his wide ranging policies are put into practice, Ken visits the new Thames Barrier. The barrier crosses the river between Silvertown E16 and Charlton in SE7.

Making his way from a meeting with Painters, Ken spots the boots of someone waiting around a corner. The Thames Barrier has an address of North Woolwich Road E16.

Throwing away his cigarette, the former Lord Mayor tells Ken that he loves his pretty barrier. Built to protect London from flooding, construction of the barrier began in 1974 and it has been operational since 1982.

After the former Mayor tells Ken that he wants his gold chain back, Giles "Cricket Bat" Portland (Adrian Edmondson) and Alderman "Crazy" James Fairchild (Steven O'Donnell) appear and set about him before throwing him into the river. Rescuing the Prince and taking him to County Hall, Ken looks through binoculars towards Westminster Bridge where a line of Troops are crossing the river. In the background can be made out the windows of the Houses of Parliament in SW1.

After a group of Alternative Comedians and a number of Politicians abandon him, Ken turns to the Prince of Wales as he approaches the GLC leader following a shoot-out. Through the window, Hungerford Bridge crosses the Thames taking trains into Charing Cross station.

Guns fall silent as Prince Charles steps onto the balcony to address the Troops. With construction beginning in 1911 County Hall was opened by King George V in 1922.

The Prince makes a speech in which he refers to the Goons. Looking onto the River Thames from the concave central section of County Hall.

Throwing the GLC flagpole which impales the Ice Maiden, Ken watches as she falls to the ground clutching her chest. Across the River Thames to the left stands Whitehall Court.

Holding a small bunch of flowers, Ken walks towards a lone grave. Jubilee Gardens on the South Bank SE1, laid out in 1977 to mark the Silver Jubilee of Elizabeth II.
