Old Bond Street in London W1 where Leo Martin is caught whilst carrying out a smash and grab raid on a jewellers. Looking north towards New Bond Street with Grafton Street off to the left. The street appears in 'The Lady is a Square', 'The Stud', 'Absolute Beginners', ‘Just My Luck’, ‘Baby Love’, ‘Joanna’, ‘I Don't Want to Be Born’, 'Nothing But the Best' and, appropriately, ‘Bond Street’. Having cut his wrists during the robbery, Leo recalls events as he recovers in hospital. Looking north along Charing Cross Road WC2 with the corners of Bear Street and Cranbourn Street to the left of centre.

During his imprisonment, Leo doesn’t reveal who he was working for. Wormwood Scrubs on Du Cane Road W12 which has been seen in many films including 'A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square', 'Danger by My Side', 'The Italian Job', 'Frenzy', 'The Constant Husband', ‘Jungle Street’, ‘The Horse’s Mouth’ and ‘Bullseye’.

Security is a little tighter these days but the trees are still there. (RL)

Antony Blair took the best angle available as no one is allowed to take pictures in the front forecourt any more.
