Yes, that's Gonville and Caius, also known more simply as Caius, at the end of King's Parade, where the real Harold Abrahams of Chariots of Fire fame attended. SJ

That says "Chester House." The continuity suggests that they can see the Proctors in Capture 35 from here, which would mean Trinity Street but it doesn't seem to match.

"It doesn't seem to match" because this is Windsor End, Beaconsfield, Bucks Phil Richards tells us, capturing this shot on 'bin day' and advsing that the "Chester House" sign is no longer there and the lamp above the iron gates is still there and he believes the iron gates are the same ones. (RL)

This has to be that new college, on a corner, near the river??.yes, you know the one I mean??..but what's it called? Just across the road from the Punt Yard.... and that's a Selwyn College scarf adds Annabel Church with anecdotal insight. SJ

OK, there's a clue, 12.5 miles from Cambridge, 46.5 miles from London, 6 miles from Nuthampstead (Isn't that where Rupert Bear lived?), and on the A10.................so probably Royston in Herefordshire. Roundabout in Royston at Newmarket Rd/Melbourn rd/Melbourn street/Priory lane claims Brian Dockerill.

Phil supported his identification with an April '23 GEV that told us we are looking at 'Fishers House'.... And it was a traffic free shot unlike my squeezed comparison. The corner where Guildhall meets Guildhall Place. SJ

Could this be near Trumpington College? Trumpington does not have a college named after it! Says Brian Dockerill, without telling us where it is. John Macwillson advises that the Eastern Counties 129 service ran from Cambridge (Peas Hill) to Oakington and Girton, no where near Trumpington. Does anyone know the route? (RL) Clive Page thinks the number should be 106, which occurred to him when he saw the film at Cambridge's Regal. (SJ) Forget all the speculation and the red bus is, to quote Phil Richards, a 'red herring' although there is a bus stop where the bus is here in Aylesbury End, Beaconsfield, Bucks.

Phil couldn't wait for a bus so we have a clearer comparson view. (RL)

In taking this comparative shor for us Phil found that the alleyway in the capture is now a road which took away about 10' of the house on the north side but otherwise the road scene is the same. (RL)

MMMmmmmm?.. Girton College suggests Brian Dockerill.... Nope, now solved after 15 years. Steve Randall recognised Taplow Court, Taplow, Bucks, adding that it was also seen in The Calendar, Baffled!, What a Carve Up! and Night of the Eagle. (SJ)
