Richard Elsner has noticed that a still of Joan Sims’s character, Joan Fussey, reacting to Harriet Potter’s (played by Betty Marsden) tedious conversation about “an extraordinary order of monks” was used on the pink Customer Profile Card of ‘Esme Crowfoot’ in Carry on Loving and can be viewed here.
Jimmy Snow worked on special effects at both Pinewood and Denham Studios but a name that often remained uncredited, as with this film. An interesting Biography and her Memories of him has been written for us by his granddaughter Brigitte, all of which can be read here, including his involvement, or otherwise, in the famous removal of Barbara Windsor’s top.

The couples drive away . . . . to 'Paradise'. Pinewood Green on the other side of Pinewood Road from the studios. Tim Sanderson points out that an almost identical view appears in 'The Fast Lady'.

Seeing the sign for Paradise, Sid turns from the main road. Tony Sarkozi advises that this is Seven Hills Road and that the driveway leads to Ways Farm at in Iver Heath, not that far from Pinewood Studios or Dromenagh Farm seen in the previous capture.
Antony Blair returned to the location 54 years later to fins a Nissan Micra taking the place of the Ford Consul.

Sid, Bernie, Joan and Anthea arrive at the camp site's gate. Graham Cooper believes that the camp site was in an Orchard at Pinewood Studios that was also used for 'Carry On Behind' and Nick Dellow agrees, advising that the campsite scenes were definitely filmed in the Orchard on the Pinewood lot. "It was very cold and muddy during shooting and Kenneth Williams' diaries of the time mention spraying the muddy ground with green paint in a desperate attempt to make it appear nice and grassy! This was obviously only a partly successful attempt as one can clearly see muddy patches in the film."

The schoolgirls of Chaste Place visit a Monastery. Nick Dellow identifies this as Compton Wynyates a Tudor country house about 12 miles from Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire. He adds that the same footage also appeared in an earlier Rank film, 'Black Tent' (1955), so as with other films in this series, all expenses were spared! Compton Wynyates features heavily in 'Woman Hater'. (RL)
