Can you help:
If you have any information regarding this production, the locations or, even better, some comparison shots please contact us. Images submitted must be in Landscape orientation, as would be seen on the cinema screen, not Portrait.
We are aware that there are films on the site that were added when the criteria for the inclusion of locations was very different from today and, as a result, there may be scenes missing from some productions. Please do not forward additional screen captures to us but bring the detail to our attention, for we do, and are, 're-addressing' these older entries as time allows.

An added still from John Thorne. According to the DVLA the Mini Moke BOX 656C was actually red. It still comes up against that registration but hasn't been taxed for years - maybe in someone's collection or barn now? This is Manciple Street from Hankey Place, London SE1.

And a comparison from John Thorne to match. (SJ)

St. Stephen's Church on the back of Manciple Street overlooking Tabard Gardens, London SE1. John adds, "St Stephens Church in Manciple Street was one of only two buildings in the vicinity (the other being the vicarage on the opposite corner with Hankey Place) which remained after the clearance of a notorious and cholera-ridden area of slum housing in 1913. At the centre of the rebuild was the new park of Tabard Gardens which had the south front of the church facing onto it. It was de-consecrated in 1963 and the use as the film location for the boys' home in CUIYC was its last hurrah before demolition later in 1965. The organ featured at the start of the film went to a church in the Midlands."
The church has been replaced by the St George the Martyr rectory. SJ.

John Thorne sends in an update which shows changes in vegetation. (SJ)

Tabard Gardens... In 2023, John Thorne noticed the high building behind the apartment blocks with a high roof sporting two finials. He lived in the area for many years and at first thought it was Tower Bridge (as indeed I did) but it’s clearly in the wrong direction as the shot is facing south. The roof is actually on a six storey section of the former Engineering Works on Great Dover Street (1897). The building is now incorporated within the complex of Kings College Halls of residence. (SJ)
Sidney Webb House, a hall of residence for King's College, has replaced the block on the left on Tabard Street. SJ

An added capture, suggested by Perry Ridley. This is the Oasis Swimming Pool which was seen in 'I Believe in You' and started the whole ReelStreets story 15 years ago, in 2003.

Perry provided this image from the net to back up his recognition and this will do until a real now can be taken by a future visitor to the open air pool. (SJ)
