Diamonds Are Forever

First thought to be the Hotel du Cap Eden Roc, Antibes, South of France, also seen in Paris When It Sizzles and Killers (2010)... but actually not the hotel but the adjacent bay on the private property named Villa Médy Roc, with thanks to our special secret agent "H" for bringing our attention to this.

Magere Brug aka "Skinny Bridge", Amstel Canal, Amsterdam... Manuel G. adds, "The tourist boat "Prins Willem Alexander" (named after the current King of the Netherlands) heads towards the Blauwbrug (Blue bridge)."

Simon is happy to exchange his off angle shot from 'Puppet on a Chain' that has out stood since 2009 for Frank van den Berg's more recent comparative shot. Frank adds that the Magere Brug (English: Skinny Bridge) is a bridge over the river Amstel in Amsterdam, Netherlands. It connects the banks of the river at Kerkstraat, between the Keizersgracht and Prinsengracht.(RL)

Margaret Lacey's body is found in the Amstel... MG adds, "In the background, from left to right, the properties Amstel 248 to 236 and Keizersgracht 826, by the corner, are visible."

That tower block has disappeared from view. SJ... MG "The properties along the Prinsengracht, which already looked dilapidated at the time of filming, were demolished at some point. Stylistically matching new buildings now obscure the view of the office tower."

Slumber Inc, sometimes quoted as the Las Vegas Visitors Building on Highway 10. Actually a real mortuary called Palm Boulder Highway Mortuary and Cemetery, 800 South Boulder Highway, Henderson. Not to be confused with the interior which was Palm Downtown Cemetery, 1325 North Main Street, Las Vegas

Johns Manville Gypsum Plant, Gypsum Road off East Lake Mead Road, as was.

Becca Andrews sent this explaining that this is just outside the entrance to the gypsum mine ("Whyte Tectonics" in the film), which looks totally different and is now a sub-station... Note the fine match to the hills (right in the now, left in the capture). (SJ)

Johns Manville Gypsum Plant, Gypsum Road off East Lake Mead Road. Now known as Pabco Gypsum and Pabco Road is east of the East Lake Mead Boulevard, to the east of Las Vegas.

Fremont Street with the construction of the Plaza Hotel nearly finished

The Golden Nugget, still going. 5 blocks of the Fremont were pedestrianised and roofed for the Fremont Street Experience in 1995, so the sky has now gone!

This is inside the Hoover Dam. Usually off limits for tourists, this location is down to Martijn Mulder and Uwe Brosamle with Uwe discovering it in 2019 and confirming with the US Bureau of Reclamation. Becca sent in this view. (SJ)
