After being told to attend an interview for a trainee executive in a glassware company, Nicholas makes his way to see Colonel Cunliffe. Black Prince Road at the junction with Lambeth High Street in SE1. The location shows the old Doulton building, the outside of which is decorated with many of their products.

An unsuspecting Nicholas returns to the office with his suitcase packed after getting the 'job'. Lambeth High Street, London SE1. Just across road, behind us in the photo, is or was Lambeth Dock, where residents of Lambeth were allowed to freely unload their barges . . . . . . once upon a time.

Nicholas returns from the glass works where he realises that he is involved in espionage after meeting his contact. Unknown location.

Nicholas goes to the fairground to meet Vlasta. Manuel Gurtner identifies this as Padua's impressive Prato della Valle, the largest elliptical square in Italy and one of the largest in Europe, with the surrounding buildings in the eastern corner towards Via Alberto Cavalletto.

It's 6am the following morning and agents watch as the Milkman approaches the Embassy. Manuel Gurtner located the colonnades of the Palazzo del Monte di Pietà.

After overpowering the Milkman and taking his place, Nicholas finally gains access to the British Embassy. Again, says Manuel, at the inner yard of the Corte Arco Valaresso.
