The Rogers family set of on their holiday to Blackpool. This is facing north on Stanley Avenue in Rusholme, Manchester and in the centre distance can be seen the Dickenson Road Studios of Mancunian Film.

When their car breaks down, a young man takes older daughter Pamela to Mrs. Jenkins' guest house and the rest of the family follow by cab. The Promenade at Blackpool, Lancashire with the Tower left of centre. The resort also appears in 'They Met in the Dark', ‘Forbidden’, ‘Dick Barton Strikes Back’, 'A Taste of Honey', 'Sing As We Go' and ‘Love on the Dole’.

Antony Blair went on a holiday with pay 75 years later and came back with this snap.

After leaving Pamela with her parents, the young man, Michael, drives home. Bramhall Hall, Bramhall Park, Bramhall near Stockport in Greater Manchester.

Jack Rogers enjoys the company of young ladies. Blackpool Lido, opened in 1923 but demolished in 2006, with the roof-line of the South Pier in the centre distance.

As Jack and Phil Rogers (Dan Young) lark about, the camera pulls back to reveal Loch Promenade between Granville Street and Senna Slip where rebuilding and redesign has taken place over the years.
