If you have any information regarding this production, the locations or, even better, some comparison shots please contact us. Images submitted must be in Landscape orientation, as would be seen on the cinema screen, not Portrait.

We are aware that there are films on the site that were added when the criteria for the inclusion of locations was very different from today and, as a result, there may be scenes missing from some productions. Punters are seen entering White City Stadium in London W12 for a greyhound meeting. The stadium was demolished in 1985 and the site is now occupied by BBC White City.

White City Stadium can also be seen in 'Otley', 'The Green Cockatoo', 'Clash by Night', 'The Blue Lamp', 'Foreign Exchange' and 'Mrs Brown You've Got a Lovely Daughter'.

Following eviction from his lodgings when the landlady finds out that he has a dog, Willie goes shopping in London after being taken in by Captain Jack Montague. A studio set included for completeness.

  • 'Now' required

Willie arrives back at the Captain's railway carriage home. This is one of two locations that are real but there's not enough on view to make an identification remotely possible.

  • 'Now' required

A Boy (David Hannaford) watches as Captain Jack Montague (Stanley Holloway) gets ready to open a home-made trap while he and Willie attempt to train the dog.

Willie cycles past dragging a hare before crashing into a pool.

A police car waits out of sight as a sports car approaches at speed. Antony Blair advises that this is looking east along Moorhall Road running between Denham and Harefield in Buckinghamshire with the bridge over the Grand Union canal to the left.

And this is Antony's proof.

As the car passes, the police set off in pursuit. Moorhall Road, Harefield Moor located by Antony with The Halfway House public house in the background.

Antony's modern view with the pub, currently called The Bear on the Barge, still standing.

The sports car is flagged down as Lady Cranfield, driving her husband, Willie and the Captain, overtakes as they head towards London. Identified by Antony Blair as Moorhall Road once again.

The same scene now taken by Antony with the bridge over the Grand Union canal in the distance.

This has the look of a set. Lord and Lady Cranfield's car turns onto a side street where tar is being sprayed onto the road.

The almost blind Lady Cranfield continues to drive onward. Raymond Edwards recognised this as Ashford Road, Iver Heath in Buckinghamshire.

Antony replaces Ray's Google image.

A near collision is avoided by accident! Richard Chadwell found the location, the junction of Bathurst Walk and Wellesley Avenue on Richings Park in Iver, Buckinghamshire.

The tree to the left is thriving in Antony Blair's view from ground level.

More motoring confusion ensues at another junction. The Pyghtle in Denham facing Village Road.

Another Google image that was provided by Ray Edwards is replaced by Antony.

A strange looking fire appliance comes around the corner and begins to follow. Now looking towards The Pyghtle from Village Road.

Lacking a means of levitation, Antony took this shot from ground level.

Facing south-east on Village Road with the entrance to St. Mary's church yard in the left of centre distance. The village was also seen in 'Blackout', 'Made in Heaven', 'Poet's Pub', 'Captain Clegg', 'The Games', 'The Square Peg', 'Kadoyng', 'Cheer Boys Cheer', 'The Look of Love' and 'Down Among the Z Men' amongst numerous other productions.

A wet day in Denham by Antony.

Further along Village Road in Denham.

Taken outside the church by Antony who points out the painted moulding on the gable end of the house to the left . . . . its in negative relief.

Village Road again, this time facing north-west with The White Cottage immediately to the right.

Antony Blair captures a more colourful scene.
