If you have any information regarding this production, the locations or, even better, some comparison shots please contact us. Images submitted must be in Landscape orientation, as would be seen on the cinema screen, not Portrait.
We are aware that there are films on the site that were added when the criteria for the inclusion of locations was very different from today and, as a result, there may be scenes missing from some productions. Please do not forward additional screen captures to us but bring the detail to our attention, for we do, and are, 're-addressing' these older entries as time allows.

Joanna and Ellen pass Great Baynham, home of Harry Trevor, (Henry Mollison). The house was also seen in 'Green Grow The Rushes'. Identified by Kay Maney as Poplar Hall, Kings Street, Brookland, Romney Marsh. The 18th century house was demolished in the early 1960s. Kay recalls, "When we purchased this home it came with a full time gardener who told me that the original Poplar Hall - a Queen Anne building which was sadly pulled down by the family who we purchased from. That family was the Payne family who were land owners on the Marsh and made their family fortune growing potatoes for supermarkets. I believe that the old Queen Anne building in the movie was the original Poplar Hall because the old gardener said so and remembers the film being shot on the Marsh". (SD)

An additional capture featuring the people of Romney Marsh, who were extras in the film, watching a "looker" round up sheep.

Anne Patel sends this photo of local ladies who were extras on the film. Anne tells us, "My mother Stella Godfrey, second from left, was in the film before she left the marsh in 1949 to settle in Tasmania". Margie Stirling adds, "I have this photo too. The person 2nd from the left is Mum, Stella Godfrey. I believe she was expecting our brother Peter at the time so it must be 1946". (SD)
