If you have any information regarding this production, the locations or, even better, some comparison shots please contact us. Images submitted must be in Landscape orientation, as would be seen on the cinema screen, not Portrait.

We are aware that there are films on the site that were added when the criteria for the inclusion of locations was very different from today and, as a result, there may be scenes missing from some productions. Please do not forward additional screen captures to us but bring the detail to our attention, for we do, and are, 're-addressing' these older entries as time allows.

During the opening scenes, an express train of the Swiss Federal Railways from Bern leaves the Krattighalde Tunnel on the branch line of the private Bern-Lötschberg-Simplon Railway that runs from Spiez to Interlaken along Lake Thun. Screen capture and identification provided by Manuel Gurtner.

The train carrying sisters Anne and Sarah Pilgrim and United Nations trouble-shooter Alan Brooks draws into to a small, but fictional, resort town of Kleindorf in Switzerland. Manuel Gurtner advises that this is Leissigen station and the train from Interlaken is travelling towards Bern.

The three are met by Mayor Klein who drives them from the station.

The Mayor stops the car at a hotel at the foot of the Trollenberg. Manuel advises that this is outside Wilderswil in the canton of Bern in Switzerland, with the Hotel “Schlössli” on Unspunnenstrasse and adds that the car was heading towards Interlaken.

Manuel provides this view of the former hotel which is now a homestead for mentally ill patients. In the background the farmer's sheds still stand and on the horizon the Jungfrau massif can be seen. Image copyright Google.
