If you have any information regarding this production, the locations or, even better, some comparison shots please contact us. Images submitted must be in Landscape orientation, as would be seen on the cinema screen, not Portrait.

We are aware that there are films on the site that were added when the criteria for the inclusion of locations was very different from today and, as a result, there may be scenes missing from some productions. Please do not forward additional screen captures to us but bring the detail to our attention, for we do, and are, 're-addressing' these older entries as time allows.

Jane (Pamela Franklin) and Cathy (Michele Dotrice) cycle along an unidentified road in rural France.

An establishing shot of the Auberge du Clare de Lune Hotel in Jargeau.

Howard Baker continues his contribution to this film by capturing a shot of the Auberge premises as they are now. (RL)

Jane and Cathy leave the hotel after seeing Paul for the first time.

Howard provides this shot to replace the Google Earth view that had outstood since 2012. The comment at that time can equally be repeated now. 'Not so lively or pretty now - the location is Boulevard Carnot in Jargeau.' A feint part of the signage remains on the left hand post in 2025. (RL)

Jane and Cathy cycle away along Boulevard Carnot.

Howard replaces another 2012 Google Earth View and we are all left to wonder whether that is Jane and Cathy on their way back 55 years later, one missing their bike! (RL)

The D14 passing through Prénouvellon, a former commune in the Loir-et-Cher Circa 1970

The pair cycle west through a village. This is the D14 passing through Prénouvellon, a former commune in the Loir-et-Cher, located by Martin Kent.

The D14 passing through Prénouvellon, a former commune in the Loir-et-Cher Circa 1970

Martin Kent found the D14 heading west through Prénouvellon. At the start of January 2016, Prénouvellon was merged into the new commune of Beauce-la-Romaine.

Paul (Sandor Eles) stands at the gate of a cemetery. Martin Kent identifies this as the cemetery on the D102 in Sougy, Loiret.

Howard Baker send us a comparative shot to replace Martin's Google Earth View from 2018. (RL).

A steeple and roof tops can be seen behind the trees and Martin tells us that there are new buildings opposite the cemetery now.

Howard captures a very similar view. (RL)

Inside the cemetery at Sougy.

Howard found substantial changes to the cemetery as well as what is perhaps 'natural damage' with the passage of time. (RL)

Jane and Cathy enter Landron along the D12 highway - don't be fooled by the prop road sign - this is actually outside Rouvray-Sainte-Croix, and the girls are travelling west on the D5. Location identified by Martin Kent.

It would seem now that the sign for a bend is not a prop according to this shot from Howard. (RL)

Further into 'Landron' Paul catches up with the the girls. Martin discovered Rouvray-Sainte-Croix in Loiret.

A significant increase in greenery according to Howard's comparative shot 55 years on (RL).

Renier (Jean Carmet) greets Paul at a cafe in Landron. Martin advises that this building is on Rue Bourg, the D6, as it passes through Rouvray-Sainte-Croix.

Howard Baker provides this shot to replace Martin's Google Earth View from 2018 further confirming that the premises are longer a cafe, if they ever were. (RL)

The girls head out of the village leaving Paul at the cafe. More of Rouvray-Sainte-Croix located by Martin Kent.

According to this shot from Martin parking continues not to be a problem there. (RL)

Having left Cathy, Jane cycles towards the rural house of a Gendarme.

Passing the house with the Gendarme (John Nettleton) near the police van.

After passing the policemans house Jane eventually comes across a cafe further along the road. The D925 near La Motteraye in Eure-et-Loir located by Martin Kent.

Howard Baker provides this shot taken at a similar time of day and points out that according to the sign the junction priority has changed. (RL)

Jane arrives at Epicerie a la Mal Tournee Cafe. Martin Kent found this building on the D925 near La Motteraye, Le Mée in région Centre.

Howard's shot to replace Martin Kent's Google Earth View from 2018, confirms Martin's comments that, "in spite of alterations, there is still evidence of the garage style door and the front door on the building". Now Howard comments in 2024 that "there is a fraction of the original green paint on the loft door and further changes with the doors being blocked up." (RL)

Madame Lassal (Hana Maria Pravda), the proprietor of the cafe, stands in the doorway. Near near La Motteraye.

Without Madame Lassal there to stare at him Howard was able to spend time aligning the shot that shows the work on the property appearing to be being done with care and attention. (RL)

Back at the cafe. Rue Bourg in Rouvray-Sainte-Croix identified by Martin Kent.

Once again Howard reaffirms that the premises are no longer a cafe. (RL)

The D14 west of Prenouvellon, France Circa 1970

This additional screen capture from Martin Kent shows Paul and Jane entering the woods to search for clues after Cathy's disappearance. This stretch of the D14A west of Prenouvellon is seen several times from different directions.
