In Colonel Lockwood's office on Whitehall, agent Captain Rufus Grant is briefed to follow Dr. Klee when he arrives in Southampton. The Clock Tower of the Houses of Parliament.

Travelling together from Paris, Dr. Heinz Klee, his secretary Helaine Frank and Nora Grayson arrive from Cherbourg. A view of RMS Queen Mary berthed alongside the Ocean Dock Cargo & Passenger Shed in Southampton, Hampshire.

On deck, the three companions look down onto the quayside as the gangways are put in place. A Cunard liner, possibly RMS Queen Mary, at Southampton.

Speeding towards the Capital, a boat train carries the party from Paris along with Captain Grant and his sidekick Hugo Guppy. This is to the north of Finsbury Park station looking south with the viaduct on the right rising to take the line towards Highgate. Just visible through the haze on the extreme right are the rear of buildings standing on Woodstock Road N4.

The boat train arrives at London Waterloo . . . in reality the LNER's Kings Cross station on Euston Road in N1. Manuel Gurtner draws our attention to the locomotive, which is a semi-streamlined Gresley-Mikado, LNER class P2 2-8-2, No. 2002 "Earl Marischal", built in 1934 and also seen in the previous cature.
I've taken this from the pedestrian bridge which runs over the platforms to gain some height. SJ

After the train comes to a stand, a Porter finds Captain Grant lying in one of the compartments after being knocked unconscious by Dr. Klee's accomplice Peter Voss. King's Cross station appears in many productions including 'The Ladykillers', 'Hoffman', 'Career Girls', 'Friday the Thirteenth', 'Mrs Brown You've Got a Lovely Daughter' and 'The Flying Scotsman'.
That looks like a newish addition below the glass window. SJ

Following a telephone call to her Father, next morning Miss Grayson joins other Passengers boarding the 10.15 train for Torton. Identified by Timothy Taylor as Kings Cross Suburban platform 14 with the wall of the main station in the background.
