Crowds head for London terminals to take trains to the coast. The first of many library shots, this one featuring Waterloo station. London SE1 which is also seen in ‘Seven Days to Noon’, ‘The Pot Carriers’, ‘One Exciting Night’, ‘The Good Die Young’, ‘Return of a Stranger’ and ‘The Party’s Over’ amongst other productions.

A bit of 1930's early CGI covers a hospital in need of funds. Identified by Steve Randall as the Prince of Wales General Hospital, Tottenham Green East, now converted to apartments and known as Deaconess Court. The Prince of Wales feathers can be seen at the top of the balcony. (SD)

Dave W lightened this capture from his DVD to reveal sufficient detail to ascertain that the location is 12-13 Little Newport Street, London W1. The camera must surely have been at an upper window of the Hippodrome or upon its roof he surmises but our eventual comparative shot will, of necessity, have to be from ground level. (RL)

An almost identical shot was seen in 'Brighton Rock' (1947), so that would make this the Palace Pier. SD

More holiday crowds splashing about in a lido. P. Brown found the location in Hastings - St. Leonard's Bathing Pool. This was on Seaside Road, St Leonards. Just an expanse of grass now. The dwellings in Grosvenor Gardens(behind)remain.

The lido was demolished in 1986. SD
