After the credits the camera pans the bank of the Thames. Looking west towards London Bridge over Tower Pier

The emphasis is now away from cranes and warehouses.

Then cuts to Battersea Power Station as seen from Grosvenor Road.

It could be said that the cranes have moved elsewhere.

Bill Anderson (William Russell) muses on the fact that he chose the wrong job as he views the Thames from his flat. A distinctive shoreline? A distinctive shoreline indeed, to Dave W anyway, prompted by the realisation that in Capture 24 appears the Woolwich Ferry, and the tall chimney, that of the Royal Dockyard. He further points out that on the left horizon can be seen the square block that is the tower of St Mary Magdalene on its raised ground and on the right, behind the chimney is the apex roofline of St Michael and All the Angels. Following a depressing brief conversation with his wife, Bill leaves for work. That looks like the Battersea Gas Holder in the background. How Dave found this requires an article of its own but suffice to say it is, or rather was Nine Elms Lane SW8 / SW11. Specifically number 47 in that terrace. (RL)

When his house is knocked down they would be pigeon holed into a nine story block of flats. Wilkins House and Lutyens House on the Churchill Gardens Estate in SW1. Other views of the estate's buildings can be seen in 'Genevieve', 'The System', 'House of Whipcord', 'You Must Be Joking', 'Three Hats for Lisa', 'All the Right Noises' and 'Street Corner'.

The grounds have been softened.

Still visible despite the tree growth.

Bill tells us that his job was in a travel agency. An unknown location that is also used in 'Account Rendered'.

Having raided the office safe Bill makes his way to the airport. An illuminated maple leaf logo for Trans-Canada Air Lines and one looks as if it is saying WALDORF, unfortunately so dark it is very difficult to find any important feature.

His taxi arrives at London Airport. Queens Building.

After a studio based escapade with Diana Maxwell (Adrienne Corri) Bill and Diana drive to “9 Great Chapel Street, Hackney” to find a girl who has stolen Diana’s handbag. Antony Blair identifies this as Gladstone Road in Southall, Middlesex outside Southall Film Studios where the film was made. The street appears in many other productions including 'The Gay Dog', 'Miss Robin Hood', 'The Oracle', 'Three Steps to the Gallows' and 'Date with Disaster'.

Cold and hungry Diana drives to her home to collect some money and some shoes. Dave W has identified the house we are looking at as 77 Addison Road, London W14. (RL)

Whilst there the police arrive to advise Adam Maxwell (Ian Colin) that his wife, identified by her handbag, had been involved in an accident.

Diana and Bill make their escape. Not surprisingly, Dave says, as the car moves from No 77 it passes 78 Addison Road, London W14. (RL)

And drive out of London to the airport. Great West Road, Brentford.

Lincoln Cars have given way to BMW.

The journey continues but the cars suspension starts to break. It looks like the Great West Road, with what is now Osterley Sports & Athletic Club on the right hand side.

All significantly less visible now.

Realising that the injured woman is not his wife Adam Maxwell makes his way to the airport. Tim Wingham establishes this as Great South West Rd at the junction with the Causeway and The Parkway on the Hounslow/Feltham border.

Tim provides the comparative shot of a much changed location.

As Adam catches them up Diana puts her foot down. Tim spots this as Waggoners roundabout where the A4 Bath Rd junctions with The Parkway, Hounslow West.

She manages to keep him behind her.

They approach a junction. Could this be the Bath Road A4 approaching what is now the Waggoners Roundabout? Tim confirms that this is indeed the A4 Bath Rd Hounslow West, looking west approaching Waggoners roundabout.

A much widened road it would appear from this shot by Tim.

Diana decides that a sharp right hand turn is in order. Antony Blair identifies this as facing south-east on Bath Road in Cranford, Middlesex with the corner of Waye Avenue in the background.

Adam overtakes down a country lane. Tim provides the specific lane, Cranford Lane just at the border of Cranford and Harlington and the bridge over the River Crane. The location can be seen in 'Circus of Fear' and 'Universal Soldier (1971)'.

One wonders as a result of this shot from Tim how we ever managed without all those signs.

He comes to an halt with a view to stopping her but she knocks him over. Timm tells us that, as in the continuity, this follows immediately on from the previous capture and is Cranford Lane on the Cranford / Harlington border. (Middlesex - of course!)

Tim found rather less activity during his visit.

Alan goes to help Adam but Diana drives off to the airport, with the money.

After watching Diana’s plane take off Alan returns the money to the office safe and then watches, satisfied with his lot, the view from his flat. As with Capture 3 Dave, prompted by the appearance of the Woolwich Ferry to the right, tells us that the tall chimney is that of the Royal Dockyard in Woolwich. He further points out that on the left horizon can be seen the square block that is the tower of St Mary Magdalene on its raised ground and on the right, behind the chimney is the apex roofline of St Michael and All the Angels.
