Suffering from amnesia, Mark Sherwin (Robert Ayres) speaks with Sheila Kemp (Jennifer Jayne) whilst recuperating at the farm. This gate also makes an appearance in ‘To Have and To Hold’.

Riders return to the farm. The stables at Gilston Park, Hertfordshire. Unfortunately, Katie Brennan found that the stables are now a small walled housing estate.

Finding a clue to his identity, Mark travels to an Essex hotel where he sees a picture that jogs his memory. A London Transport 396 bus passes The Thatched House Hotel on High Street in Epping.

Mark returns to the house that he now recalls. Gilston Park in Hertfordshire. The stately home was also seen in ‘To Have and to Hold’, ‘The Rossiter Case’ and ‘The Dark Light’, three other Hammer films from the same year and having seen several owners over the last seventy years has now been converted into apartments.

Discovering that her husband is alive, Christine Sherwin (Christine Norden) and friend Paul Kenton (Anthony Forwood) still attend the funeral arranged for the man killed in the car after the attack. St. Mary’s Church in Gilston Park, Hertfordshire.

Katie Brennan took this view of the church, which hasn't changed since filming took place.
