Blinded eighteen months previously, Chris walks towards the lodge gates. As Clive Turner has found, this is The Royal Masonic School for Girls, Rickmansworth. (RL)

Benny helps Chris from the lodge to a waiting car that will take him to the fictional Lindale Gardens. The Lodge stands on the driveway of the Royal Masonic School for Girls in Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire advises Clive Turner.

Expecting to attend a friends party, Chris enters the wrong building where he discovers that a murder has been committed. Sussex Square where Winston Churchill lived for 4 years. (RL)

After having an operation to restore his sight, Chris returns home. Patrick Brown identifies this as Marloes Road, London, W8.

After finding a clue, Chris visits the Westminster Central Reference Library to consult a map showing Lindale Gardens. Saint Martin's Street, London WC2 looking towards Orange Street.

Chris goes to the films Lindale Square in Kensington W8 after the mistake is realised. We now know that this is Sussex Square, W2.

It looks as if the numbering of this terrace of houses has been retained so a Google Image of today's No3. There is a "Blue Plaque" saying that Winston Churchill lived there from 1920-1924 (RL)

Chris and Patricia Dale (Dinah Sheridan) speak with Chalky (Patric Doonan) to find out about the death of her brother Norman whilst in the RAF. In the background is a Vickers Viking G-AJBV- Clive Turner places this as Northolt Airport, Middlesex which was a major base for BEA before Heathrow was built. (RL)

Chris searches in and around the flat. With the aid of the "spires" of the late St. Luke's Church in the mid ground Christopher Matheson has established the location as the larger balcony of Forset Court set between the Edgware Road and Nutford Place, London W1. Forset Court also appears in "Hour of Decision".

After beginning to uncover a smuggling ring, Chris visits the village of Oxley. Village Road, Denham in Buckinghamshire.

Except for a few more cars, Antony Blair found the view very much the same given that nearly 70 years have passed since filming.

After being told the address by the Postmistress, Chris heads for a house called 'The Grange'.
