Albert Smith (Albert Modley) gives Dolly Diehard (Jean Colin) a lift on his Lister Auto-Truck on the station platform at Welwyn Studios on Broadwater Road in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire.

Taking the variety artist home, Albert drives the truck from the station. Constructed by British Instructional Films and later taken over by British International Pictures, Welwyn Studios operated between 1928 and 1950.

The camera follows the pair as they set off towards the Diehard's country house. The studio complex was sold to a tobacco company Ardath in 1951 and shortly after was used as warehouses by Polycell with Tesco clearing the site in 2007.

Pedestrians dive out of the way as Albert and his brother Jeff cycle erratically to join their Home Guard unit. Welwyn Studios on Broadwater Road, Welwyn Garden City in Hertfordshire.

Following more wartime capers at the studio, a real location, albeit unknown, has a pantomime cow appearing from behind a railway van. These sidings lie at the back of Welwyn Studios and served the neighbouring Shredded Wheat factory on Broadwater Road.
