Bomb in the High Street

When the fins of an unexploded bomb are reported at a building site excavation, Superintendent Halsey orders the evacuation of nearby residents to a community centre.

Outside the police station, Superintendent Halsey (Jack Allen) waits for word that everyone has been moved. The old Police Station and Magistrates Court on Windsor End in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire. The building also features in 'The Man in the Road' and 'Personal Affair'.

Falling within the danger zone, the High Street is cleared despite the protests of a shop owner Mr. Freeling who has a sale starting that morning. High Street, Bracknell, Berkshire. (SR)

Birdsong can be heard in the quiet streets as bells begin to chime. Andrew Radgick recognised Station Road in Bracknell, looking south towards the station from the corner of High Street.

As the chimes end, the pan ends on the building where runaways Mike and his girlfriend Jackie are just waking up. Number 39 Seeleys Road in Beaconsfield advises Pete Adams.

When the Army three tonner comes to a stand, Captain Manning jumps out and enters the police station to speak with the Superintendent while Feeney (Maurice Good) waits at the wheel. Windsor End with the old Police Station and Magistrates Court to the right.

Across the road from the building site stands the County Suburban Bank . . . the bank that Captain Manning and his Men intend to take £100,000 from. The old bank house, High Street, Chalfont St. Giles, now a dental surgery. (SR)

Trent alters Manning as Mike enters a shop where he leaves money on the counter for the cigarettes he takes.

Escaping after being captured by Manning's Gang, Mike and Jackie (Suzanna Leigh) run from the bank.

The young couple reach the house where they woke up and Mike gets onto his motorbike. Pete Adams discovered number 39 Seeleys Road, Beaconsfield.

With the robbery completed, Manning's truck approaches the road block at the perimeter of the danger zone.
