Managing to escape while being transported to Dartmoor Prison by train, Jacko Thomas is taken by boat to rendezvous with Judd Tredgar.

Novelist Greg Parker, Sue Thomas and former policeman Pearson are driven to the remote Tredgar's Farm, which, for the film's purposes, is near Dawlish, as an address on an envelope received later gives away. Betchworth Quarry in Surrey with one of the lime kilns visible to the top left.
