If you have any information regarding this production, the locations or, even better, some comparison shots please contact us. Images submitted must be in Landscape orientation, as would be seen on the cinema screen, not Portrait.

We are aware that there are films on the site that were added when the criteria for the inclusion of locations was very different from today and, as a result, there may be scenes missing from some productions. Please do not forward additional screen captures to us but bring the detail to our attention, for we do, and are, 're-addressing' these older entries as time allows.

Ellenabeich on Seil Island. Seil Island is one of the Slate Islands located about 7 miles southwest of Oban and also features in 'Kidnapped', 'A Touch of Larceny', 'Ring of Bright Water' and 'Alive and Kicking'.

Quite a bit of change to the building but the overhang on the cliff confirms the location in this view from Mike Day.

Easdale - a small island in Argyll on the west coast of Scotland, 16 miles south of Oban. 'This is actually Ellenabeich on Seil Island, Easdale is the small island opposite Ellenabeich' ~ Doug Hill.
Definitely Ellenabeich on Seil Island and not Easdale Island though according to locals the area was known as 'Easdale' hence the confusion on the postcard view.

When we arrived at Ellenabeich we soon realised the shot would need to be taken out at sea. The kind folks took us out in a (very small) rubber dinghy and we were able to get the shot from just about the right angle.' ~ Mike Day

Not exactly a 'now' picture, but a 1950's postcard view. Postcard titled 'Easdale The Terrace'.
