Establishing shot of The Reverend Dr Blyss' church on the edge of the Romney Marshes. The former All Saints Church, Oakley Green Road, Braywood near Oakley Green, Berkshire.

This is the church's replacement and may not be taken from the correct angle. North side of Oakley Green Road just east of Braywood Church of England First School. SJ

A lookout on the church roof spots Captain Collier and his men approaching. The tower of Braywood Church near Oakley Green. The church was deconsecrated in 1960 and has since been demolished.

It looks as though the entrance was retained and there are a few scattered gravestones on site. The school is behind and echoes the style of the demolished church. SJ

Captain Collier (Patrick Allen) and the Bosun (David Lodge) discus tactics. All Saints church stands on the hill in the background.

The search party circle the church.

St Mary's Church Denham, Buckinghamshire.

The men enter the village to search for contraband. Denham features in 'Murder at the Gallop', 'Great Day', 'Made in Heaven', 'Fools Rush In', 'Three Men in a Boat' from 1933, 'The Look of Love', 'Down Among the Z Men', 'The Square Peg', 'Poet's Pub' and 'The Games' amongst many others.

Village Road, Denham, Buckinghamshire.

The Reverend Dr Blyss (Peter Cushing) talks with Captain Collier and the Bosun outside the church. But it's not St Mary's church yard in Denham, I checked, so this remains an unidentified location..

A smuggling trip leaves the village. Possibly a set or maybe an unknown location.

The smuggling party reach the windmill above the Romney Marshes. This looks like Cobstone Windmill overlooking the village of Turville in Buckinghamshire. Also seen in 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang' and 'The Pumpkin Eater'.

I agree: think it is Cobstone. SJ

Captain Collier and the sailors leave the church.

St Mary's church on Village Road in Denham. The location was also used in 'Carry On, Don't Lose Your Head'.

The Bosun orders the men whilst The Reverend Dr Blyss looks on.

Village Road, Denham.
