Through a park and past busy shops, Lisa keeps walking until she comes to Marble Arch. Facing south from Bayswater Road W1 with Cumberland Gate crossing the background.

Lisa reaches a quieter, tree lined road.

Crossing the road and entering her apartment, Lisa makes a phone call to her lover George Barnet, letting him know that her estranged Husband's plane will be taking off shortly. Looking south-west on Eaton Place SW1, towards the crossroads formed by Lowndes Place. Seen in many films but this is a similar view from the pavement in 'The World Ten Times Over'.

It's still free of moving traffic. SJ

Newspapers carry reports that the aircraft carrying Kurt Baumer to Tokyo has exploded in mid-air. Looking across Westminster Bridge towards the Houses of Parliament in SW1.

Antony Blair found the bridge somewhat busier.

A taxi carries the widowed Mrs. Baumer through town. Facing north-east on Pall Mall SW1 from the corner of St. James's Square with Waterloo Place and the National Gallery in the distance.

The ex-Junior Carlton Club, recently rebuilt in 1968 to include offices, at 30-35 Pall Mall fills the left side. SJ

Watched from across the road, the taxi comes to a halt outside the office of Mr. Brenton where the insurance agent explains that Lisa will receive a payout of one million dollars. St. James's Square seen from Pall Mall.

As Lisa leaves his office, Brenton asks his Secretary to connect him with Peter Lynch on a private line. Looking towards the Army & Navy Club on St. James's Square with Pall Mall to the left.

The club, the modern version of which was built in 1963, is undergoing works. SJ

As the taxi crosses a bridge, Lisa tells the Cabbie to stop. Hammersmith Bridge connecting Hammersmith W6 with Barnes in SW13.

The view north as the bridge, closed to traffic, continues to await repairs. SJ

Pulling over, the Taxi Driver drops his fare at a telephone box. Looking towards Castelnau Mansions, set back from Castelnau in Barnes.

John Harwood had difficulty with this view due to ongoing repairs to Hammersmith Bridge.

Lisa leaves the kiosk after calling George, explaining that she's leaving for Athens where she will cash in her Husband's policy. The southern landing of Hammersmith Bridge.

Making her way to the river, Lisa walks along the footpath. Alongside the River Thames on the opposite bank to Hammersmith with the J. Lyons & Co. Rannoch Road factory in the left distance.

Lisa becomes aware that she's being followed. Looking towards Hammersmith Bridge from the towing path on the south bank of the Thames.

Phillipe (Unknown), Lisa's former lover, quickens his pace. Looking across the Thames towards Hammersmith, Riverside Studios and the J. Lyons & Co. factory.

John Harwood found a very different skyline.

In possession of an incriminating letter, Phillipe catches up with Lisa and threatens to expose her as wanting to get rid of her Husband unless she pays for his drug habit. The towing path on the south bank of the Thames in SW13 with the fence protecting the landing stage adjacent to Harrods' furniture depository on the right.

Well, John H. managed to have his comparisons loaded before me (see previous), but he may have missed this one. While the fence on the right matches, there are changes on the left, and the tree shapes are encouraging. SJ

On a day after handing over cash to Phillipe, Lisa makes her way to the seedy part of town where he lives to pay him another £500. Tavistock Crescent W2 where the Tavistock Arms public house, which was seen in 'Col cuore in gola' and 'Withnail & I', stands on the left, the bridge to the centre features in 'The 14', 'Burning an Illusion', 'Duffer', 'The Knack . . . and How to Get It', 'The Spaniard's Curse' and 'Innocent Meeting', and the shop on the right appears in 'The L-Shaped Room'.

Lisa flies to Athens, followed by Insurance Investigator Peter Lynch.

The TWA flight from London lands and is directed towards the terminal.

A taxi takes Lisa to the hotel where the Investigator watches her whilst checking in. The Four Seasons Hotel at Apollonos 40 in Vouliagmeni, Athens.

Recognised by her earlier in the evening at the hotel, Peter Lynch (George Hilton) helps Lisa to escape from Sharif, Kurt's mistress Lara Florakis' hitman.

Outside the derelict theatre where Lara had threatened to blackmail her, Lisa and Peter get into his car and return to the hotel.

After Lisa cashes the insurance cheque and books a flight to Tokyo, Peter rings the bell at the gate of Kurt Baumer's residence.

Sharif watches from his car as a passing Cyclist tells Peter that there's nobody home.

Hearing an engine, Peter turns to see Sharif's Buick approaching him at speed.

Waiting for the evening flight, Lisa looks out from her hotel room before an Intruder murders her and takes the insurance money. The view from the Four Seasons Hotel at Vouliagmeni to the south of Athens.

Outside the police station, Police Inspector Stavros (Luigi Pistilli), Peter Lynch and John Stanley from Interpol fight their way through Reporters. Manuel Gurtner (MG) found that this scene was shot in front of the so-called Sarogleio Megaron, located at 1 Rigillis Street in Athens, next to Pavlou Mela Square.

The Inspector repeats "No comment" as he attempts to get into a waiting car. To the left of the landmark mansion, hosting the Hellenic Armed Forces Officers Club, the white bust of Artillery officer and founder Petros Saroglou can be seen. MG

In the Plymouth Savoy, Stanley recaps what Interpol know about the case and suggests that whoever robbed the $1,000,000 was also responsible for the plane crash. Before the camera pans along with the car crossing Pavlou Mela Square and continuing along Vasilissis Sofia Avenue towards Megalis tou Genous Scholis Square, Hotel Grande Bretagne can be recognised in the distance. By the way, behind the high trees to the left can be glimpsed the British Embassy. MG

John Stanley (Alberto de Mendoza) leaves a restaurant after questioning a Waiter. Spotting the neon sign in the background Manuel Gurtner advises that this is the 'Taverna O Erotokritos', located in the tiny Erotokritou lane. The mural depicts the hero Erotokritos from the Cretan epic of the same name by Vitsentzos Kornaros.

Watched by Peter, the Detective gets into a taxi. Manuel Gurtner found that the 1969 Audi 100 stands opposite Number 14 Lisiou Street, located in the Plaka district.

Peter follows Stanley's cab as it turns into a back street. Filellinon Avenue, passing by St. Paul's Anglican church, out of sight to the left discovered by Manuel Gurtner. The building where Tsatsou Street branches off to the right, with the furniture store at the ground floor, was later replaced by an office building, while the apartment building to its left was renovated and still exists.

Reaching his destination, Stanley gets out of the taxi in Tsatsou Street, just around the corner, and walks to the flat of Lara at Number 7 Monis Asteriou Street in the Plaka district. Locations confirmed by Manuel Gurtner.

After Peter is attacked outside Lara's rooms at the theatre, a Stranger makes a telephone call to an Air Hostess in her apartment. Syntagma Square, Athens. Manuel Gurtner adds that the famous Hotel Grande Bretagne, opened in 1842 and completely rebuilt in 1950s in the same style of 1874, stands in the background.

Approaching Peter in the hotel restaurant, journalist Cléo Dupont (Anita Strindberg) talks through the case with him, questioning whether Kurt is really dead. Philopappou Hill in Athens with the Acropolis in the left distance. A similar view appears in 'Summer Holiday'.

After an Intruder dressed in scuba diving gear kills Lara and Sharif at her flat, Inspector Stavros and Stanley drive Piraeus where they find Peter and Cléo on a yacht. Facing west from the Vouliagmeni Marina identified by Manuel Gurtner who adds that the view is towards the then named Astir Palace Hotel which was built in 1967.

Peter leaves Cléo in her house and follows a Neighbour who has asked that he moves his badly parked car.

Back in the house, Peter gets into bed with Cléo who tells him that he should leave because she has photographs to develop.

Forgetting his car keys, Peter returns to the building where he disturbs a Man who is attacking Cléo.

After the murder of the Air Hostess's lover Paulo, Peter tells Cléo that he might be missing something and asks if she can make enlargements. Manuel Gurtner advises that this is the viewing terrace on Mount Lycabettus, a 277 meter high limestone hill and the highest point in central Athens. "In the distance, the Hellenic Parliament on Syntagma Square can be seen with the National Garden to its left."

When a clue is discovered in an enlarged newspaper photograph, Stanley pays a visit to Kurt Baumer's former home.

Following the death of the killer, Cléo leaves hospital with Inspector Stavros and gets into a waiting cab.

Cléo is driven away, sitting on the back seat of the taxi with John Stanley.

The journey continues until the end titles appear.
