In possession of an incriminating letter, Phillipe catches up with Lisa and threatens to expose her as wanting to get rid of her Husband unless she pays for his drug habit. The towing path on the south bank of the Thames in SW13 with the fence protecting the landing stage adjacent to Harrods' furniture depository on the right.

Well, John H. managed to have his comparisons loaded before me (see previous), but he may have missed this one. While the fence on the right matches, there are changes on the left, and the tree shapes are encouraging. SJ

Tavistock Crescent W2 where the Tavistock Arms public house, which was seen in 'Col cuore in gola' and 'Withnail & I', stands on the left, the bridge to the centre features in 'The 14', 'Burning an Illusion', 'Duffer', 'The Knack . . . and How to Get It', 'The Spaniard's Curse' and 'Innocent Meeting', and the shop on the right appears in 'The L-Shaped Room'.

In the Plymouth Savoy, Stanley recaps what Interpol know about the case and suggests that whoever robbed the $1,000,000 was also responsible for the plane crash. Spotting the neon sign in the background Manuel Gurtner advises that this is the 'Taverna O Erotokritos', located in the tiny Erotokritou lane. The mural depicts the hero Erotokritos from the Cretan epic of the same name by Vitsentzos Kornaros.

Peter follows Stanley's cab as it turns into a back street. Filellinon Avenue, passing by St. Paul's Anglican church, out of sight to the left discovered by Manuel Gurtner. The building where Tsatsou Street branches off to the right, with the furniture store at the ground floor, was later replaced by an office building, while the apartment building to its left was renovated and still exists.

Reaching his destination, Stanley gets out of the taxi in Tsatsou Street, just around the corner, and walks to the flat of Lara at Number 7 Monis Asteriou Street in the Plaka district. Locations confirmed by Manuel Gurtner.

After Peter is attacked outside Lara's rooms at the theatre, a Stranger makes a telephone call to an Air Hostess in her apartment. Syntagma Square, Athens. Manuel Gurtner advises that this is the viewing terrace on Mount Lycabettus, a 277 meter high limestone hill and the highest point in central Athens. "In the distance, the Hellenic Parliament on Syntagma Square can be seen with the National Garden to its left."
