Intending to move into a smaller property, Mr. and Mrs. Hapgood arrive outside the estate agents. The corner of Croft Avenue and London Road with Dorking North Goods Yard to the top.

William (Charles Lamb) and Mary Hapgood (Kathleen Boutall) return to their rented home on Mapleton Avenue after viewing Mrs. Varley's house.

Dandy (Doris Groves) arrives with the news that she and her husband Ted have to leave their flat.

The retired couple move into their Dorking home . . . along with their son Ted and his wife Dandy . . . and the baby . . . and their huge dog.

As Billy and Mary leave the house to set off for the airport to meet their daughter Myra, their son Arthur (Humphrey Lestocq) and his new acquaintance Charlie Bates (Tony Doonan) arrive to stay . . . and Billy has to pay the Cabbie.

Charlie and George struggle with the garden hose after a fire breaks out in the kitchen of the overcrowded house.

Billy Hapgood returns to the estate agents. The building stands at the corner of London Road and Croft Avenue in Dorking, Surrey but no longer exists due to road widening.

Discovering that her father is visiting his Bank Manager to sacrifice part of his pension, Myra races after him. High Street, Dorking with the White Horse Hotel to the top left.
