Confessions from the David Galaxy Affair

After watching Mr. Galaxy enter Winchester Court, Sergeant Johnson (John Moulder-Brown) and Chief Inspector Evans (Glynn Edwards) follow him to his apartment. Louis Moruzzi advises that Winchester Court stands on Vicarage Gate in W8.

Hoping that David Galaxy (Alan Lake) can help with their enquiries about a security van robbery, the Chief Inspector asks what he was doing on 3rd June five years ago. The Nostalgia Central website advises that the apartment interiors were filmed at a private residence in a converted warehouse in London's Docklands. The distant tower blocks appear to be the 21 storey Regina Point and Columbia Point on the Canada Estate in SE16 which suggests that the apartment would be on Wapping High Street E1, maybe in St. Johns Wharf.

Looking through his diaries, Galaxy recalls an incident in a pub ten years previously when a Detective and a Sergeant run into the street after a fake shooting. The pub looks real enough with moving traffic passing outside the windows.

Another moment is remembered.

Galaxy's friend Steve (Anthony Booth) confronts Anne (Cindy Truman) after she places a parking ticket on his car.

When Steve attacks the Traffic Warden, Galaxy fights him off and comforts Anne by taking her back to his pad for a drink.

Following lunch with MP Susan Carter, Galaxy walks through Soho after making arrangements to see her at the races later in the month. Greek Street W1 with the Exciting Cinema at number 18 to the right and the trees of Soho Square in the distance.

After browsing shop windows, Galaxy makes his way to his club. Ever popular with film makers, Walker's Court in W1.

Rebuilding has "sanitised" the thoroughfare. PW

Inside the club, Galaxy fails to impress a pair of Girls at the bar whilst he waits for his psychiatrist Amanda. Closed in 2010, this is the Concordia Notte restaurant at 31 Craven Road in Paddington W2 identified by Louis Moruzzi.

Leaving his rented apartment after another call by Chief Inspector Evans, Galaxy hand signals a meeting to an Au Pair (Louise Soame) he knows. St. Katharine's Way near Tower Bridge in E1 with the Tower Hotel as the backdrop.

Walking away, the Au Pair turns when Galaxy calls "don't bring the pram". Looking across the Thames from St. Katharine's Way with Tower Bridge to the right. In the centre, Louis Moruzzi draws our attention to David Wynne's "Girl with a Dolphin" statue which was posed by Virginia Wade.

Anne runs across the street towards a telephone box.

Calling Galaxy, Anne tells him that her suspicious husband Eddie is on his way round.

Eddie (Milton Reid) presses the intercom which Galaxy answers, speaking in an effeminate voice with a cassette of a growling dog playing in the background. Facing Winchester Court, Vicarage Gate in Kensington.

Galaxy leaves his apartment for a day at the races.

In a blue Ford Transit, the Chief Inspector and Sergeant Johnson follow Galaxy's Mercedes-Benz. Piccadilly Underpass taking the A4 beneath Wellington Place from Piccadilly W1 to Knightsbridge SW1 with St. George's Hospital on Grosvenor Place in the right distance.

Galaxy looks forward to a day in the members enclosure and spending the night with the Member of Parliament.
