Sir John Rowan (Peter Cushing) arrives at a wild 60's party with his partner Lynn Nolan (Sue Lloyd). Holland Park Mews, London W11 identified by Simon James and also seen in ''The Firechasers', ‘Time to Remember’, ‘In the Doghouse’, 'Don't Ever Leave Me' and ‘Crossplot’.

These mews houses are very similar. Fortunately the double utility doors under the steps gave it away. The wild party is next door at 50, Holland Park Mews. SJ

The pair relax in the garden overlooking the English Channel. The location is Seaford Head which also features in The location is also seen in 'La Course à l’échalote', 'On the Double', 'Mr. Holmes', 'Half a Sixpence' and 'Atonement'.

Sir John waits for a train, and his next victim, at Seaford railway station. Station Approach, Seaford, Sussex. The Blood & Custard website explains that in the background 2 BIL unit number 2038 is arriving although Sir John and his victim actually board the first-class compartment of a 2 HAL unit in the adjacent bay platform.

Scenery passes by through the carriage window as Sir John's victim becomes apprehensive. After many tears of searching, Colin Watts found Lower Housdean Cottages on the outskirts of Falmer when approaching from the Kingston, and Lewes, direction where the railway climbs towards Falmer Tunnel. Colin adds that the two cottages were demolished just over a decade later to make way for widening of the A27 to a dual carriageway with work starting in 1978.

A train passes in the opposite direction as Sir John carries out the murder on board. The view through the drop-light of a Brighton-bound 2 HAL unit sees an unidentified "Tin-HAL" climb towards Falmer passing the rear of houses on Ringmer Road in Brighton, Sussex. The "Tin-HAL's" driving car being one of the wartime replacements for damaged 2 HAL and 2 BIL units. More details about the trains can be found at www.bloodandcustard.com

After the body has been concealed, Sir John leaves the train at Lewes. Blood & Custard identifies a four-car train led by 2 BIL unit 2034 arriveing at Lewes platform 4. However, Sir John then steps out of the Second-class compartment of a 2 HAL unit.
