In flashback, Professor Hildern (Peter Cushing) returns home from an expedition to New Guinea as he recounts his tale to a young Doctor. Julian Manhood found this to be Thorpe House on Coldharbour Lane in Thorpe, Surrey.

Lenny looks down to the street where the mob are gathered. St. Katherine Docks in London E1 with The Ivory House to the left. The location was also used in 'The Long Good Friday', 'David Copperfield (1969)', 'Attack on the Iron Coast' and 'The Trygon Factor'.
