Now here's a puzzle - Gare Montparnasse appears to be in use in this shot yet Wikipedia and other websites say that the station was completely rebuilt in 1969, four years before this film was made. Any answers gratefully received. It had certainly been re-built in 2011 when Jamie Crocker took Capture 60. Nigel Southworth has found the answer! In the book Fred Zinnemann : Interviews it is stated that Zinnemann rebuilt part of the old station. "What we did was to rebuild the lower floor of the Gare Montparnasse, the entrance to the metro station, and the little house for people who were waiting for the bus." (RL)
