Paul Kersey (Charles Bronson) rides the Trailways coach over the Queensboro Bridge (also known as the 59th Street Bridge – because its Manhattan end is located between 59th and 60th Streets). It's officially named as the 'Ed Koch Queensboro Bridge' and stretches over the East River in New York City, connecting the neighborhood of Long Island City in the borough of Queens with the Upper East Side in Manhattan, passing over Roosevelt Island.

We switch back to New York as Bronson arrives at the Port Authority Bus Terminal and gets a cab on 625 8th Ave, New York, NY 10109, USA.

Janette Cotton snapped this current ‘now’ shot showing the outside of the Port Authority Bus Terminal. She notes that the brick pillar and traffic light/streetlight post behind the parasol on the original capture are still there, as is the hotel in the centre with the scaffolding type structure on top. The building with the striped brickwork left of centre is still there, the bricks now painted over but the stripes are still visible, but obscured in the ‘now’ shot by the new canopy.

Accused of murder, Bronson is arrested and taken to a local police department. This is actually another London street. Featured is the old north entrance to Lambeth Hospital. Although the building has gone, the road is Brook Drive in SE11. The location can still be identified today by the tops of the buildings further down the road. The 'police department' entrance is roughly at the turning of Castlebrook Close.

A match in the right distance. I'd like to think that there's a tiny bit of original grey wall/column there in the centre of this comparison. SJ
