In the forest, the opening shot moves from a lake to the wooden cottage where a Body Snatcher is about to steal the corpse of a recently deceased man. Likely to be Black Park Country Park in Wexham, Buckinghsamshire as indicated on Wikipedia.

Forced to flee after their experiments are discovered, Hans (Sandor Elès) and Baron Frankenstein arrive in the village of Karlstaad. Bray Studios at Down Place in Oakley Green, Berkshire where much of the action takes place.

Adam Jezard send us this shot of what he believes is the same location notwithstanding a change in the tree line.....and it being a foggy day. He tells us that it also appears in 'Rasputin - The Mad Monk' (1966), not listed on Reelstreets, yet! (RL)
