A carriage arrives at Dr. Robert Knox’s Academy in Edinburgh. A thinly disguised Littleton House hides inside the fake gates at Shepperton Studios in Surrey.

Martha Knox (June Laverick) gets out of the carriage to be greeted by her father’s assistant Dr. Geoffrey Mitchell.

Landing their punt, Dr. Mitchell and Martha Knox get out onto the river bank where they are surprised to see medical student Chris Jackson with a young woman. This is the River Ash as it passes the lawn of Littleton House.

Following a short conversation, an embarrassed Chris Jackson (John Cairney) leads Mary Patterson (Billie Whitelaw) away. Seen in ‘Orders to Kill’, this building stood between Littleton House and the River Ash at Shepperton Studios and has been replaced by the David Lean Building.
