Setting the scene, an establishing shot of The London Hotel where Mildred Roper is checking out the establishment. The hotel is currently called The Copthorne Tara Hotel and stands in Scarsdale Place, London W8.

Now out of London and well on their way home, the Ropers are still being followed. West from Rowley Lane, at the junction of the continuation of Rowley Lane and Well End Road, north-east of Borehamwood, Hertfordshire by The Mops and Brooms public house. Quick work by Neil who adds 'The Boys In Blue' rode past the Mops and Brooms on their car chase. The pub is behind one's left shoulder.
