Following the suicide of Ronald Milsom, television presenter Crispin (Alex MacIntosh) prepares to interview a personality who had also been criticised by Jane Penshurst in a book that may have lead to the death of one of the greatest orators of his generation. The offices of Hadfields Ltd., a paint factory on Western Road in Mitcham, Surrey.

Crispin question Sir Giles Redman (Peter Stephens) about what the author had written about his rise to fame, wealth and power. The premises of Hadfields Ltd are also seen in 'Backfire!' and 'The Partner'.
