The shops have changed considerably since Pendleton and I last walked that street. (RL)

Taking a break during job hunting. This appears to be Watling Park at the corner of Watling Avenue and Orange Hill Road.

Richard took the shot at the suggested location and remembers the structure but cannot recall where it was. With the changes and foliage, it was difficult to replicate the shot.

Pendleton shops for new clothes as part of his 'identity theft' plan. Unidentified location. Is that a Mac Fisheries two doors along from the tailors?

  • 'Now' required

Notice the reflection in the tailors shop window. A branch of Lloyds Bank with a distinctive canopy across the street. Unknown location.

Ta-Can-Co headquarters, Pendleton's target after assuming the identity of computer expert Caesar Smith. The London Movie Guide locates this building in Paternoster Square, north of St. Pauls, London EC4.

Simply dreadful filler, blurry, vendor in the way, needs replacing immediately. But it does prove the location. SJ. And not too much later Richard Lovejoy provided a far superior shot. Note reuilt posts.

Suggestive signs line the road as Gnatpole tries to seduce Patty.

Richard Lovejoy found Dean's Lane, Edgware, Middlesex - The changing face of shopping parades.

Another sign, this time a warning.

Patty takes a job as a bus conductor and gets left behind. The bus shows route 185 between Victoria and Lewisham but it appears to be a prop.

Richard is reasonably confident that this is Adelaide Road at the junction with Elsworthy Rise, NW3. It is not far away from homi005, it is on the 187a bus route that passes Patty after her bus drives off. The tower block further down the road is 'Blashford' (see http://www.20thcenturylondon.org.uk/mol-82-622-8) Whilst the perspective in the photo is far from convincing, the location in Google Earth is more sympathetic to "Then". The tree on the right looks as though it is the original, not least, virtually on private property.
